Sorry but I dont trust the current incarnation of the FBI. When CNN is able to do their job better that tells me they are either incompetent or compromised. I say that as someone who has a very good friend that works cyber crimes for the FBI. (he is smart and he definitely would like to get this clown in a room alone I am sure)

I imagine that plenty of Agents at that Field Office in Arkansas have likely been harassed by this a-hole repeatedly (he runs a Second Amendment group after all).
 
I wonder if Pence made a deal with trump that he wouldn't push the 25th and he wouldn't publicly pressure him to resign in exchange for trump laying low, issuing no blanket pardons and staying away from Biden's inauguration. Pence had to be in as much danger as most of the Democrats on Wednesday and I'm sure he is none too happy about that. I mean I THINK he's human.

I also wonder if the events of surrounding Biden and Harris taking their oaths of office, already scaled back some due to the pandemic, aren't scaled back much, much further. To the extent their safety can be assured I want the oaths to be taken publicly and in full view of the world. But it would not surprise me whatsoever if an army of trump insurgents would try to assassinate one or both of them. These people want violence and chaos and war. We may find out sooner than later how high up the food change the complicity was on Wednesday. Something still smells far too fishy to me, both how the riot unfolded on Wednesday and even in how it ended. It's almost as if it isn't over yet.

That's a bad take. The FBI doesn't do their job in the media. CNN does.

You have no idea what the FBI is actually doing about this matter.

This is an unknown. There is argument that it can be done (particularly pointing to the fact that impeachment can include prohibition on holding future federal office), there is argument that you cannot impeach unless the person is currently occupying the office.

A variant of this that could happen would be if the House impeaches Trump, but the Senate doesn't do anything until after Biden is sworn in. The majority here argue that the trial would still happen, and the Senate could convict (presuming that prohibition on holding future federal office was one of the remedies sought).

Short answer: not sure. : - )
 
Sounds like the WV state senator who participated in the insurrection was taken into custody by the FBI.
The ******** who took the postcard from Pelosi's desk was arrested.

Edit, also arrested:
Elijah Schafer, the other dimwit in Pelosi's office who thought it would be smart to post a photo of Pelosi's computer monitor then later claim he was a journalist. lol

I never said I did. I said I dont trust them. You can choose to if you like but I dont. The FBI was soliciting help while the news was posting names on TV. They could have had some flunky go on Twitter and had these guys identified in minutes. Most of them self identified in real time...

Not to mention...the FBI had to have been alerted about what was being discussed online in the weeks leading up to it. I mean if a 40 year old shlub in the suburbs of Minneapolis can find out the basics of the plot and we in this thread could figure out what was coming and when the FBI should have been better prepared don't ya think?
