Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

Based on his analysis, I'm guessing DL was more focused on the crowd than on the game.

If I was a Jan fan, I don't think I'd want to focus much on the game either given what the team looked like in the final two periods.

Yeah, we looked horrible. But somehow were able to keep pace with the #3 team in the nation.

The Gophers played better, but let's not act like the Huskies played terribly. I liked their effort. We have a lot of guys playing that shouldn't be. Mainly Taylor Johnson.

David Eddy was really bad last night as well. Hopefully he has a much better game tonight.

The Gophers' offense played poorly. The D played a good game. If the #3 team in the country shows up tonight it will be a blowout (IMO). The Huskies played a very good game given their injury woes.

I hope Novac's injury is not too serious.

I think we all know that Faragher would have stopped those goals, but it certainly wasn't goaltending that lost that game.

Prochno and Johnson cost us the game...regardless of what Skeeterman thinks.

And when did the Gophers actually get their first quality chance? Midway through the 2nd period? It's not like they looked like the '87 Oilers.

We've had one bad loss all season, and sorry, this Gopher team may be a better team than us but they're not the #3 team in the nation many years. We also haven't been swept all season, and I don't think it happens tonight. Geez was that a gutsy performance last night... if we can admit that a guy with a separated shoulder isn't completely healthy then we finished last night's game with single digit healthy forwards. We need to get some bounces to go our way for once.

Re: Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

I think it is funny when SCCC fans talk about the chants at mariucci and how they are the same every game. I mean this is the fanbase that still dances to Cotton Eye Joe, scream "F the Gophers" and their claim to fame is "sieving" to every song on the Jock Rock CDs. :p

And dont deny it is still that way, I was up there for the Gopher game earlier this year...minus the massive amounts of empty seats it could have been any game from any season dating back to 1998.

So tell me again about how uncreative we are ;)

edit: Dont expect Dude Love to know what actually happened in the game...he was too busy trying to figure out how to sieve to "Let's Go Gophers".

Re: Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

They scored in the first period. That wasn't a quality enough chance?

...

No, it wasn't. Just because there's a goal doesn't mean it was a quality scoring chance. Thus, Euro's link to Robbie Bina scoring on Jeff Frazee from the opposite red line.

Well there obviously is a problem with your computer when you are unable to open a standard youtube link.

His computer is probably filled with viruses caught from searching for RwD porn.

So I have a drinking game for anyone who taped or DVRed last night's game. Drink everytime the pxp or color guy say something not factual. Ryan Malone didn't win a Cup with Pittsburgh, they won the next year when he was in Tampa, this will NOT be St. Cloud's last year in the WCHA, Herb Brooks did not coach St. Cloud as a D-1 school... I haven't even gotten until the third period yet.

Hansen, Lee, and the puck were in the crease. Sorry, but that is a good scoring chance.

And he had a good angle to the net and was most unabated with a guy coming in with him. For the record, I'd call that a quality scoring chance, I'm just saying the Doobs made it sound like any goalie is a quality scoring chance. Had he said what you said, no need to relive a goal scored by a man who sees MEg eye-to-eye
