There is no NWO, there is no vast conspiracy of industrialists trying to take over the world and the doctors arent keeping us sick just so they can make profit and keep us in line so the 1% can centralize more power and put chips in our brains. Rich/powerful people are greedy and stupid people are stupid, been that way since the dawn of time. It doesnt take much to see the truth but you can twist yourself into a pretzel trying to convince yourself otherwise.

It makes no sense to say on one hand that the elites run the world and orchestrate economic and political activity to further their stranglehold on power AND that they want to unleash the one "great equalizer" force that will destroy the institutions and goods they have hoarded for themselves.

You are right that there is a ruling class. You are right that they dominate economic and political institutions. But a nuclear confrontation is THE LAST thing they would want. As long as they fight their wars conventionally it's only our kids and our taxes that are affected. Nukes actually damage them.

I'd say our area of intersection is pretty uncontroversial.

Not 1940's Churchill, but 1930's Churchill when he was in the political wilderness. His warning speeches on the rising militarism of Germany were "alarmist".

Ah, gotcha.

They wouldn't be herpa-derp, because Winnie was nothing if not utterly dismissive of the gorillas ("the greatest argument against democracy is a conversation with the average voter"). My question would be, had Churchill read Hitler's book when he was making those speeches? If he hadn't then I'll take the really untenable position and say he was alarmist -- just because you turn out to be right doesn't mean you knew what you were talking about. But my understanding of Mein Kampf is that the whole program's right there in black and white, right down to "promise western liberals anything -- they're decadent and lying to them is a cost-effective way of getting what you want," so if Churchill actually cited the Nazis' own statements then he gets credit for prescience rather than luck.

Off topic: I saw a corporate email today announcing the promotion of a guy named "M. Kampf." Gotta be rough to go through life with that name -- thanks a lot, Mom and Dad. :)

One thing I have come to learn is that nothing is done without reason. If countries are putting time and money towards nuclear arsenal, they intend to use it. The reason may not be clear. Could the Cold War arms race have been a "cry wolf" setup so that another country can use their arsenal "under the radar"?

Also, when it comes to said arms, there are plenty of shelters being built by the uber-rich, with anyone not in the in-crowd being lambasted for "prepping". Whether or not those things can withstand a nuclear blast, I don't know.

Prepping is just another turn on the old "End Times" wheel. There are always people so self-absorbed they refuse to believe the world can continue on after they, God's most special snowflake, die.

There's a "crowd" of rich bunker people lambasting normal people for preparing for the next WW? Where is this lambasting taking place?

:) I can show you an army of old Wisconsin ladies who have more than seven days worth of food stowed away in their pantries and basements in canning jars alone. Only time any of them get to court is for their own guardianship hearing.

Which proves that guardianships are the design of jackbooted fascists.
