Seeing as it's Pride month, I'll just save myself time and assume anyone who gets upset over the concept of LGBT Pride gets upset the 6 disabled parking spaces in front of the store aren't for them.

Dear homophobes and transphobes:

Stop whining about straight pride when you have the Chik Fil A drive through every damn day and the Old Navy 4th of July sale.

Not sure where to put this, but a boy I talked with on a dating app ghosted me last year and I moved on.

He sent me a message yesterday saying "remember me?" and I told him no. I told him I was no longer interested in him and good day, hoping he takes the hint.

Beyond that the current Right Wing BS labelling any discussion of race in the classroom as Critical Race Theory is so pathetic it is kind of scary. CRT is almost never taught below college level and yet now painting all lessons on race in America as such (and states moving to ban it) will be the death knell of education in this country. Imagine Germany just arbitrarily one day saying "you know what, I think we can stop discussing the Holocaust or either World War!". That is where we are headed with this crap if the GOP has any say in this.

Oh and a bunch of nimrods want teachers to wear bodycams to PROVE they won't teach CRT. Cops don't need them but teachers do.

This country is fucking boned.

I bet these are related. If we teach our history too accurately, more people will question why we have monuments honoring people like Nathan Bedford Forrest.

1. Holy ****. That's a nice computer.
2. Holy ****. They're on i9s now?

They've been on i9s for awhile, but they're generally overkill unless you're doing a ton of photo editing/ rendering/etc. i7s will work great for most home users/ gaming rigs so you can throw the extra money at the video card.

I've been looking at doing an HTPC for years now. Waiting for the right time. I'd want it to be a little better than just an i3 to play movies and whatnot. It would be nice to be able to toss some mid-level games on there and run.

i5 is where I figured I'd land until the i9s came out. I'm definitely starting to recall this. And the spreadsheet I had with the specs I was looking at seems to show that as well.

A high-end i5 will still give you plenty of kick,, especially if you can overclock it. Even though I'm still an Intel guy, the latest AMD Ryzen processors will give you the best bang for the buck if you can find one, though to fully maximize it you'd want an AMD video card, too. Which, while decent, still generally run behind their comparable NVIDIA counterparts.

(Though again, at this point you kinda take what you can get...I managed to snag a 3080 but had to spend $10 on a service that pushed alerts everytime they restocked on newegg, and basically grabbed what I could rather than the one I really wanted).

There’s not really any issues running an AMD processor and an Nvidia GPU, at least in my experience (I’m running a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3060). Adequate cooling is the most important thing, especially with a lot of cases these days having inadequate air flow.

Yeah, you absolutely can do that fine, but AMDs latest architecture has a couple of extra benefits if you pair an AMD processor with an AMD gpu that isn't available with an Nvidia gpu. Can't remember exactly what it is off hand, but there's something there.

I've always been an intel nvidia bobo

Hell, most of my build specs had intel mobos too

edit: obviously things have changed DRASTICALLY in the last several years. Especially with the ryzens
