I just checked my house, and that site says $293k. I paid $255k 18 months ago, and a house comparable to mine, though clearly updated recently when looking at the picks, was listed at $320k and sold a couple weeks ago. When the sale finalizes I’m checking county tax records to see the actual sale price. Based upon everything we’ve been seeing in this market, $350k wouldn’t really surprise me.
Zillow still thinks my property is a vacant lot (we finished construction winter of 2016), so it only reports what the town-assessed value is (it was last assessed in 2020 pre-pandemic). I wish I could see how they think the value has changed over the last 12 months. I used to think there was no way I'd get the value the town assessed it at ($447K), but now I really have no idea what I'd be able to list it for but I'd guess that $500K wouldn't be out of the question.
