And for what it's worth, I had a boudoir shoot, and for what we took on my phone (unofficially), a 3 day post block is an extremely small price to pay for conquering my fear of feeling vulnerable and exposed.

No instagram.

I like Twitter because you can easily pick and chose whom to follow and while you have to occasionally filter out some noise there is some good info out there never mind humor.

With FB I live 7,000 miles away from home. It's a nice way to at least tangentially remain in touch/stay updated and as with Twitter you take it with a grain of salt, filter what you can and/or freaking scroll.

Many of you come here despite the fact there are dips like Flag that post - you either scroll past or ignore right? No different with social media for me.

Do you think I'd get fired if I yelled "shut the fuck up" at a coworker who talks over everyone, insisting her way is the ONLY way?

You wouldn't not get fired

Best way is to calmly but firmly ask the person when they interrupt to "Hold on, let Jane finish her thought."

Not sure if this is purely annoying, but it made me laugh.

Yesterday in one of my classes, instructor said "if you want to go back and edit your reflective learning assignment based on the feedback I provided, just ask and we'll figure something out."

Classmate started screeching on how "why do I have to ask? YOU ARE BRINGING US TO RUIN. I've told the Dean and the Assistant Dean and..."

Instructor's like "we'll talk after class. Just hold that thought."

Peer continues to screech.

Instructor's like "I'm not going to have you hijack my class" and promptly removes Angry Classmate from the Zoom session, then went "anyone else?"

LMAO. That's definitely one benefit of Zoom, WebEx, and their ilk.

Follow up on my apartment situation from a while back:

Took lots of legwork and aggressively searching, but found a similar situation to my old one: "Mom and Pop" landlord with a reasonable rent. Dude owns an insurance agency and three small, 4-unit buildings. Basically used the showing as an interview and after talking to me, actually declined to run his own background and credit checks. None of the BS I mentioned in the previous post.

This is definitely a dying breed in the market for sure. One of the few positive things I got from digging through Craigslist. Another "Oh fuck! Things have changed and are not what I was lead to expect." Millennial Moment for sure.

Also did some background digging into houses and mortgages. It's just not the right time for me right now. I make enough to live, but got some legwork to do to get my savings to a point where I can take on home ownership. Hopefully the current market will deflate as I put away cash and as my savings grows, the market will come back to Earth.

Sounds like you're doing things right and not trying to force yourself into a situation that won't work.

Pretty much... It's just annoying to know that A) I'm not the only person in my 20s/30s to currently be going through this stuff, and B) there is a certain segment of the population that refuses to acknowledge these problems because it doesn't directly affect them.

It takes a toll over time.

Arrogant person man comes into the laundromat last night, looks at me, and insults my appearance, telling me I look like an old ass dude.

3 minutes later, he is asked to leave the laundromat because the attendant will not budge on the "last load at 8 PM" rule.

Tee hee.

Today at work, a creepy male was following and harassing one of my coworkers, begging her to let him lay his hands on her stomach and pray over her health, going so far as to wait outside the bathroom for her, even after she told him no repeatedly.

Let me guess, when she takes him to HR, he's going to complain that you can't even say "Hi" to a female coworker anymore...

I got a 0 on an assignment, but no feedback or commentary as to why I received the 0. All I could do is ask if the instructor even got the presentation, because I know I submitted SOMETHING to him.

I once got a zero on my 40-page section of a lab report because I put Figure above the graphs and Table below the tables. Or do I have that backwards? Probably why I got the zero.

circled them on all the pages, wrote
"NO!"
and 0/100

sometimes professors are just dicks to be dicks

Got a response back from him last night. Turns out, he never received it, so I will do some editing and get that back to him later today.
