Gaza 2023: The Next Episode

I wonder if that worm has finally turned. Americans may actually have grown up enough to distinguish between Israel and Jews, and between being critical of a genocidal national policy of cultural extinction and anti-Semitism.

Where and when I grew up (NY, 70s) you could not criticize AIPAC or Israel or you were instant road kill. Likud has relied on that for so long and at such lengths they may have finally broken that lever. Good. Blindly supporting that Crusader state has been more misery than it's been worth since the Far Right got a stranglehold on it.

I don't know how Israel comes back from its authoritarian nightmare, but until it does it's time we grounded it. When you're morally inferior to medieval Arab despotisms, it's time to slow your roll.

it sounds more like Sheeran has been doing the “I’m culturally Irish” bit (despite being English born) without realizing that the actual Irish can’t stand the Israelis and stepped in it pretty bad trying to appease his billionaire friends.
 
Yeah I’d pump the brakes on thinking enough Americans have turned. The guy filled his tour with Irish people.

Still a welcome step forward though.

Also, I’m not convinced Macklemore distinguishes between Israel and Jews. This was a ridiculous overreaction to what he was doing and saying in this tour, though. Kraft and his buddies really stepped in it. Which is fun to watch.
 
I don't know if Tucker Carlson was visited by three ghosts recently, but he just made *another* good point (yeah, yeah, insert The Onion "Worst Person Makes Great Point" dot JPG) about Macklemore being cancelled by "the Epstein Billionaires (Kraft), and how some stadiums were built with public funds." And then takes a shot at FOX News for twisting the headline to make it sound like the audience cancelled Macklemore and not Kraft and his buddies.
