Frozen Four ticket location

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Priority 4 (StL, Den, Was, Det)

Section 111, Row 1, Seats 1 & 2

I notice that some other fans have seats in section 111. Feel free to stop on down between periods or games and say hello.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Priority 3 (although I bought but did not go to Detroit)

Section 109 Row 6 (3 seats)

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Priority 12 Sec 113, row 20. Gotta say I'm not terribly happy. Seems we are in a region with others of a like P number but I think we could have been given better. Its gonna be fun and the arena is great, but I really thought I would be between the blue lines, if even in the C seats. Such is life. I'm going, I'm partying and if the beer is plentiful, I'll be the 51 year old with a dumb smile enjoying the party that is the Frozen Four!

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Interesting results so far.

I've been tracking the Priority 13s & 14s with the following tally:
My tickets = Section 108, Row 18 (corner)
Others reporting =
Section 108, row 16 (corner)
Section 108, row 16 (corner)
Section 108, row 16 (corner)
Section 108, row 18 (corner)
Section 107, row 18 (corner)
Section 107, row 18 (corner)
Section 113, row 20 (corner)
Section 103, row 24 (center)
C24, row 2 (near corner)
C24, row 3 (near corner)

Notice any consistency? All of the Priority 13s & 14s that have reported have all been seated in one of the Lower Bowl sections on the curve. Most have been assigned to Section 108. Only one individual (Section 103, row 24) was fortunate enough to land between the blue lines -- and guess where he/she resides? Minnesota.

Could the above seat assignments have been done by coincidence or by design? Hmmm.

So who's getting seated between the blue lines?

So far, it's not been the highest priority applicants.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Perhaps they are reserving them for the teams? It seems that in years past that the school allotments have been in the corners, but this year it seems as though the higher priorities are going in the corners.

I'd say a safe bet would be NCAA officials and corporate sponsors.

Yes, indeed.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Got ours today sec. 122 row 12. 4 seats. Very pumped!!!! SIOUX YA YA !!!
If available, please post your priority number. If not, describe your lottery history and I'll estimate. Either way, thanks in advance!

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Priority 12
Section 120
Row 22
4 seats
I speculate my seats would be better if I purchased 2 tickets.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

While I will be attending my 7th Frozen Four, this is my first time getting tickets through the lottery.

Priority 0
Sec 224
Row 7

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

I won't be getting to use these because of personal reasons:

Priority 2 (DET, DC)

Section 123
Row 22
Seats 9,10

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Highest Priority (we've been going to the Frozen Four since before it was called the Frozen Four): Section 103 / Row 24. VERY happy with our seats.:)
As well you should be! At this point of the reporting, you are the runaway winner of the 2011 Lottery.

In order to have the most accurate possible report, I'd like to ask you a follow-up question. Is there any chance these tickets came from the Host School Allotment rather than the Public Lottery? It's a big win either way, but I'd like to make sure we know which kind of win it is.

Back in 2005 when Columbus hosted the tournament, some friends of mine bypassed the lottery and ordered tickets from the OSU allotment. Although they lost out on the priority point, they got fine seats. Then, when the tournament moved on to Milwaukee, they returned to the lottery pool. Forgive the intrusion, but I couldn't help but wonder if you might have done the same.

Still, it's completely possible that you got your tickets through the lottery, as per your initial post. Every year there seem to be a couple of results at the highest levels that stand out from the rest. It could very well be that this was just your year to hit the jackpot! But please reconfirm.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Preliminary Observations on the 2011 Lottery

1. By my count we have 57 reports so far. That's a fine start, but keep those reports coming!

2. Tentative title for this year's write-up: Behind The End Lines. More reports could change the analysis, but frankly I doubt it. The picture is pretty dramatic. A very high percentage of us are either in the corners or behind one of the nets. This is true at all priority levels. If you're disappointed with your location behind the line, be assured that you weren't singled out. The message is: Welcome to the party.

3. Priority Holders wound up in the Lower Bowl or Club seats. If you're a middle level priority holder who's grown weary of Upper Bowl seat assignments, this appears to be your year. Priority levels 0 & 1 remain upstairs. Everyone else reports being closer to the ice. The percentage of priority applicants in the Upper Bowl appears to be the smallest ever, with the possible exception of St. Louis.

4. There wasn't a lot difference from one priority level to the next. In other words, if you've fumbled away a priority point or two over the years, it didn't hurt you much this time.

5. As a generalization, Levels 2-7 are behind the nets; Levels 10-14 are in the corners. We need more information at Levels 8-9. The picture is a little more complicated in the Club Seats, which I'll address in the final Summary.

As always, in-arena observations will be important. And naturally additional reports will help greatly. There may still be patterns that haven't revealed themselves. But don't be surprised if most of the above list continues to hold true.

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

can someone explain what amenities you get,

sitting in the club seat sections? Just wondering ...

Re: Frozen Four ticket location

Yes, indeed.

Okay -- so I am from Minnesota and did get in section 103. In 2002 we got tickets in the lower level between the blue lines too. I figure it makes up for some of the lousy tickets we've gotten in the past -- like the year in Milwaukee where we were in the top section in the highest row!:(

Some Gopher season ticket holders we know ordered tickets through the Gopher ticket office and got section 102 row 20. So some of the lower bowl tickets are going to the host school.

From the X website:

Beautifully furnished and fully carpeted
Private Club Level restrooms
Access to Headwaters Bar & Restaurant and the new Headwaters Bistro
Multiple concourse food stations featuring carveries, pastas and desserts
Full service bars with multiple televisions

The actual seats are better, too. The lines for the food/drink are noticeably shorter, obviously. There is a better selection of, and a better quality of food.

Club seats are useless when they won't be serving beer thanks to it beign an NCAA event. You'll get shorter lines for the can and maybe some extra leg room, but thats it

This is the case.

Last time it was in Boston, BU was the host. I didnt win through the lottery and wasn't planning on going. Couple weeks out of the blue the BU ticket office called me and asked if I wasn't interested in going... I asked how many seats could I get, they asked how many I wanted. I got four in the lower bowl in the section next to the playing teams (umd to be exact). Some dude with a umd hard hat with holders for two beer cans saw me in my BU hockey jacket and pointed and yelled, "Mike Eruzione!!!! Mike Eruzione!!!". Rather funny

I am priority 14 and did get the tickets through the NCAA lottery process. I agree that the tickets are GREAT. But like you said, maybe it was our year to get lucky. In the past our seat locations have varied from really good to low behind the net or very high in the arena. Seems like you never know.

Like I mentioned in another post -- we know Gopher season ticket holders that got ticktets through the UofM and their tickets are in section 120.
