Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

That last no-goal for Harvard kinda sucks. I was saying earlier I feel like a Sioux fan--completely dominate the game yet lose the scoreboard (although they've clearly had some success). And then this guy...

Thanks for chiming in you idiot. I'm sorry you live somewhere so miserable that you have to dwell on hockey for the only happiness in your life. Why don't you just kill youself now and spare us your whining, or move somewhere worth living. Sick of your whining. Have all the national titles you want we're still happier with our quality of life than you. You lose horribly to Denver. They may not have as many titles but have a way better quality of life and don't have to complain about something that is over with, idk.... If UMD lost in the regionals I wouldn't be here complaining no matter what the reason but that's the difference between many and Sioux fans. Really sorry Sioux hockey is all you have in life. Maybe have some kids so your life can have some meaning??

Also we went what 5-0 or something against your near .500 team this year? and it's still the ref's fault? Hmm..

Wondering if I'll get banned over this post. I went to UND hockey camp as a kid many years, and I don't consider them a huge rival of mine but some of you are just completely dispicable
I don't think it's just Sioux fans who noticed the soccer like flopping

I didn't see anything that jumped out at me, pun intended, but I didn't see every minute of the game. I did see some hooKS that weren't called on both teams.

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

Lmao! Struck a nerve? The truth must really bother UMD fans. You know a person hasn't got anything to stand on when they immediately resort to insulting a person and where they live. Very mature.

I have every right as anyone to post here as while I am a UND fan, I'm also a college hockey fan. For how amazing of a team that Duluth is this year, there is no reason why the players should have to flop on the ice acting like they get shot. The flopping isn't new to this year.

You stay classy, UMD21.

Yeah, kinda. When a team that has been #1 with the target on their back half the season but keeps on winning, and then a fan from a .500 team says that team only wins because they dive all the time.. you got gopher fans saying "you only won because our team doesn't care about this game", gets a little old. I gave credit to Harvard when I thought they had rough calls. And if you think UMD is winning because there's some rich person out in Duluth giving tons of money to the refs to blow th e game...you certainly have some issues. I don't want to see us win off a garbage penalty I'm so thankful our 2011 championship was without controversy. I got lit up in football just standing there taking a hit, is it that crazy that two players skating at eachother at a high speed someone could get hurt even if it's not direct contact to the head? Believe me I was shouting "get up!" but he missed half a shift laying on the ice, seems like a big risk to take on a dive in the national tournament... you don't know what he felt. And I believe you're basing everything off of one play. If UMD would have lost in the regionals I wouldn't be here complaining no matter what the reason, that was my point.

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

How many teams have hosted their own Frozen Four before?

Hasn't happened a lot recently, but:
Wisconsin - 2006
Minnesota - 2002

You could also count 2015 (Hockey East was the host, but BU got to play in Boston).

I know Minnesota made a few Frozen Fours that were played in St. Paul, but I'm not sure if they were the "host." CC hosted the first 10 Frozen Fours and made several of those. Denver hosted a few in the '60s that they played in.

EDIT: 2 more additions: Brown hosted in '65 and BC hosted in '63.

Really only hear that out of (a) certain regions too. Curious.

Anyway... continue.

Just reminds me of the time in college we were at McDonalds. They apparently screwed up some guys $5 order a little bit. That guy wouldn't stop venting about it the whole time we were there eating. Reminds me of Sioux fans. I live in Denver, we could get blown away by Denver in the championship but I doubt I'll be sitting here blaming Denver or the refs after the fact...actually you can count on it that I wont be. What's done is done. That's it for me tonight, hope to get harassed by some DU fans tomorrow night at DIA when I'm decked out in UMD garb head to toe (bulldog socks all day for the TSA!)

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

Denver should win it all

Couple bad goals by Madsen.

And dave starman can take his F2 and F3 talk and F...off

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

This is no great revelation, but it seems like there is no stopping Denver. Wire to wire they have clearly been the best team all year.

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

One and Two seeds in the final, I guess the system works!

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

It's amazing what a very mediocre team can do with the gift of 4 home games.

There he is!

You get my message?

Was worried you might never come back out.

Re: Frozen Four: Denver, Notre Dame, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

Looks like Denver fans travel to frozen fours at least
