Frozen Four 2023: Three Blue Bloods and and Upstart

I saw that puck cross the line. That was a fukking goal. Even the goalie's glove, it was almost completely across the goal line when he covered the puck. That was a blown call by the refs.

You didn't see shit. Without the overhead, the angle that might have showed the puck over the line is meaningless.

The trip that took down Knies near the end of the second period was a terrible call.

I can’t remember if it was Knies or Cooley, but one of those two should’ve been called for a dive instead of one of the trips that was called against BU.

Still way too many legit penalties that BU was committing. Can’t pretend like they didn’t do it to themselves.

The one I’m remembering was Knies. He was already going down and the BU player touched his stick to Knies’ skate. I don’t think Knies was trying to dive on the play either. He just lost his edge trying to cut.

Nope, I saw it. I rewinded it and asked my mother, who never watches hockey, so is as unbiased as they come, if the puck crossed the line, and she said yes, clearly it did. I saw it several times and every time it was clear to me that it crossed the line. I even saw some white between the puck and the red line, only for split second, but I saw it.

Glad to see Michigan lose as they are always so cocky. Lots of talent and can’t win the big game still. Not a huge fan of quinnipiac and their 7 grad students either. I hate that’s allowed.

Saturday's final will be just the 4th time in 40 years that that the championship game will feature the two top seeds in the tournament.

1983 - (W1) Wisconsin beat (E1) Harvard 6-2
1993 - (E1) Maine beat (W1) LSSU 5-4
2017 - (1) Denver beat (2) UMD 3-2

Chalk. In a year when college basketball was anything but.

The last time Minnesota faced an ECAC team for the title was 2014.

Maybe they'll have better luck against a true D1 team rather than a D3 playup. (smiles):):)

If they have not used their 4th year of eligibility, why should a student pursuing a graduate degree not be allowed to play?

Because it’s college hockey not men’s hockey. It’s supposed to be for
college age kids.

On the flip side, isn't a 4-year player / graduate student more of a true student athlete than a kid bound for the NHL who plays for a year and uses college as basically a minor league development program?

Just say what you really mean: "We're a blue blood and as such we are entitled to win everything all the time and anything that could even the playing field is inherently unfair."
