I personally vote for two at a time in later rounds, seeing as I'm pretty much stuck doing this draft at work.

I've also got a few (possibly) dumb questions that I was hoping could be clarified.

Will I automatically be sent an AIM chat invite, or do I have to join a certain chat?

What is the password I should be using for the draft tool upon sign-up. Do I even need to sign up, or should I be doing all my research offline?

Received the email earlier for tonights draft and it said that I won't be there tonight and will pick from the pool later. Why is that? My AIM is wrong on the attachment also. It's abbie082709

Draft tool shouldn't need a password.
www.fantasycollegehockey.com/draft_tool.cgi

Enter the last name of the player you wish to claim and "Submit Query."
The next page should provide a new table showing the player you entered, the University he plays for and an empty box under "Enter Your Name to Claim:".
In the empty box, enter your USCHO username, and click claim.

The player still isn't yours. Once the draft is over (I'll be keeping a log for the Wednesday Draft), Zudnic will do some voodoo behind the scenes to get the conferences set up. From there, you will select your players you drafted tomorrow night from the list.


As for invite. I have added your username to my AIM list (mine is jpifke00), and I'll be sending out a mass chat invite tomorrow evening. I'll try to get the room set up at least a half hour before the scheduled draft (8:30pm Eastern, 7:30pm Central). This way, if we're all ready, we may be able to get this done quicker. :)

i meant you could gmail chat your picks to me when it is your turn, since i will be both on google updating the spreadsheet and also in the aol chat with everyone else. its one step above sending a list of preranked players.

and yeah, its not hard to do. you just have to be accepted by the person you are trying to contact

SO...I hope I didn't jump the gun but I remember being told we could sign up at FCH early...so I joined league USCHO-2 because I'm drafting on Wednesday night (the second draft) Is that all good?

The link should go to the revised spreadsheet with Shirtless Guy included (drafting for JCarter), and with the double pick late rounds (as has been the norm and was done last night).

Two picks in the later rounds are easier, as everyone has already set their main roster, and these are just to fill out the bench players.
