Just thought I should mention, and I think all that have participated in the past agree. If you sign up, pay attention all season. It makes it much more fun for all involved when half the team owners don't get bored with it after 3 weeks.

Wow, I have almost 30 people signed up. Keep 'em coming. I think 32 is an ideal number (8x4).

Rookie question...

Do we choose players from all of D-1 hockey, or just from our league?

The site says...
Rosters
In the game, you have an active roster and a bench. Each contains six forwards, four defensemen, and two goalies. There is also a free-agent pool. Each player can only be on one GM's roster at a time. If a GM drops a player into the free agent pool, that player is immediately available to other GM's to pick up.

Is 12 the number of players we each draft (6F, 4D, 2G)?
If so, how many of the 12 are bench and how many active?

Or does 'each' mean we draft 24, leaving 12 on the bench and 12 active on game day?
Thanks in advance.

This is important stuff... as I plan on doing some serious research and azz kicking. ;) :D

No, you actually need 24 players. You have to draft them all because there is no way to automagically complete your roster yet.

At any given time, there are 6 forwards, 4 d'men and 2 goalies active. You have an equivalent amount on the bench. You will see them side by side in your GM Home page.

I signed up for a Wednesday the 29th draft, but i know you mentioned the 22nd. I'm good for any Wednesday but I'm just confused as to which it will be.

I'm in. As a side note, I said ok to any of the 3 nights, now realizing that the times were in EST, I'll be at physical therapy til 8:30 CST on Wednesday.

Just talked to Aparch, and it's no big deal. If we wind up on Weds he'll just proxy for me til I get home.

Hey, hate to be a pain but I see that sign ups have started on the site. Do we sign up now or wait and you'll sign any of us who have submitted interest up before the draft? If we have to sign up now, we would need league name and password I presume. Let me know, thanks!

Wait until Zud gets you placed in a league before signing up.

Signed up, put preference Wed, but can do Thurs as well if need be. Zudnic, let me know if my AIM handle is right or not, I just made a new one since my original is from like circa 1995 and I don't use it anymore :p
