Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Reminder: If you want in and haven't registered for a draft preference, you have 'till 5pm.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

Sure. I would be one of the ones dumb enough to offer to facilitate the draft. Dammit. :D

What do I need to do, just make sure I write down who is all drafted and keep the flow going in the draft order?

This is now the official draft list and includes draft order. Draft order was determined by using =rand() in the sheet and then sorting.

If you are facilitating, I suggest that you create a Google Spreadsheet with all the rounds listed. You can update this manually if you would like; if you "share with the world" it will autosave pretty regularly and update to the others. I have put an example in the sheet above under "LIVE DRAFT"

There is also a draft tool at http://www.fantasycollegehockey.com/draft_tool.cgi Please do not enter picks in it yet. This is an easter-egg kind of thing and I have to manually clear it out after each draft. Basically, you search for your player and then place a claim. If someone else wants him and searches, they will see that he's not available.

I posted everyone's AIM name in the above link under AIM HANDLES.

It is up to each GM to make sure they draft 12 F's, 8 D's and 4 G's.

I have created all the leagues. When the draft is done, you will have to enter your roster by
1. Go to the FCH site www.fantasycollegehockey.com
2. Click Sign Up in the red bar
3. Fill it out. The password for your league is uschoboard
4. Click the button to enter your roster

Another rookie question...
These are 3 separate leagues, correct?
So each draft has their pick of every player nationally?
Or, does Thursday's draft get the leftovers from the Tues. & Wed. drafts?

No, each league gets pick of full, nation-wide ncaa d-1 rosters.

Other draft facilitators. Are we doing like the last two years where rounds 13 through the end are picked with two players at a time to get the draft over quicker?

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

So, I draft Thursday...I hope I can find a way to get internet access that night. I'm going to be moving into a new house this week, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do for internet or if I'll have it set up by then. Also, I might be on the road for business, at least then I'll be able to draft from the hotel.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

ha. so if anyone (from any tuesday or wednesday) can switch me and take my spot on thursday.. THAT WOULD BE GREAT. otherwise, no worries.

thanks in advance.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

I updated the sheet for tonight's draft to reflect that rounds 12-24 will have two picks at a time. This means that MassAttack and Jabber will have to pick four at a time in the late rounds.

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

I'm going to be in Houston for my draft on Thursday. I am going to do everything possible to be done with work and back to the hotel in time to draft. If it doesn't work out, I am going to try to draft from the AIM on my phone, while following the picks on the google spreadsheet on my work computer (no AIM on work computers), or maybe see if I can get someone to help me out and use my master list to draft for me. Hopefully it works out and I can just draft normally from the hotel room.

gmail chat?

Re: Fantasy College Hockey #9 (The Apricot-Flavored Season)

gmail chat?
I've never done gmail chat before, but I have a gmail account, so I imagine it wouldn't be hard to do. I should be able to do it on my work computer if it is web based. As long as everyone else can use it, I don't want to make changes that will make it harder for the rest just because my work schedule has recently started to suck.

Gmail chat allows you to attach your aim account and use it in the gmail chat window.
