Re: Fanboys and Superfrauds, 251st and 252nd Edition (12/3, 12/4)
I did find it humorous that whenever anyone stood in the row or two in front of the sign the T was blocked so it read "RUST" (in which case it should have had the BU team picture in place of Jerry Yorks head last night
)
I remember the conversation you're mentioning and forget my stance at the time (if I even posted) so forgive me if I contradict myself, but honestly it just isn't as special anymore IMHO. When a group of captains say we are going to start a new tradition to acknowledge the fans it is an entire different animal from the coach telling them to do it, or them just doing it because they did it last year (I don't know why they have done it in the two following years, but I figure it's one of those two options). It has much more meaning, to me, when they occasionally do it now after a road or neutral site win that had a strong BU presence in the stands, because it means they actually want to, not that it is the routine to do it.
that small banner in the corner of the glass is actually a huge picture of jerry york and it says 'TRUST' down the side. it made an appearance at conte a few games ago and has been a staple ever since.

Change in philosophy? I know some of you can't be happy with it because it cheapens the meaning!!!![]()
