Elmira Soaring Eagles 2010

Re: Elmira Soaring Eagles 2010

Seems like 'playoff beards' aren't limited to the NHL - nice fur Fargo is sporting!:)

EC gonna have their hands full with a pretty determined group from Norwich!
They're so tough over there they even fight over assists!;)

That's a beard? I thought his face was just dirty.:D

yup. evidently assists can come from the neutral zone when someone gets the puck off a forecheck. who knew!

and kudos to you all, by the way, for taking the ECAC-West championship with a grain of salt and at least having enough class not to be cheering in the main lobby when every one of your players walked up the stairs and starting "E-C" chants the way the "N-U"-ers did Saturday. It's a shame that there's some parents out there can take a classy program and a classy on-ice team and make it look bad...as per the fighting over assists argument as well.

and i guess, if i must, while i refuse to jump on the train, good luck in minny. might as well be good reps of the ECAC-west. safe travels to all.

No sour grapes here...we've already got our Championship rings...and they're beauts too...the first year was a nice size suitable for wearing on special ocassions. The second is huge...lots of diamonds...a real knuckle buster...good for showing off to those who don't have them...ha...Rube indeed! (Try not to get salt stains on your cowboy boots this weekend big man...;) )

Ya Ya Ya saw the rings. Houle is always quick to pull them out of his top drawer when recruiting. No big deal, kinda gaudy if you ask me.

He should pawn them and get his clock fixed.

At least you and your buddy "Seyless" are blessed with a sense of humour.

Beats reading " H Diddy" and "P Diddy" over on the Norwich threadand their endless droning on about Trots needing glasses.

Keep it up!

Spoken like a sad man in search of some bling!
On a serious note....have fun this weekend. It's a great time for everyone involved.:) Also, enjoy the banquet...we were never allowed to attend...something that still bugs me. NCAA...(should be NCA-holes) ruling.
But they did give out some neat mementos and a great video of the weekend to try to make it up to us.

Will do Pal. Really looking forward to it. It will be a memory of a lifetime for all of these girls no matter what team their on.

Apparently the EC team got picked up today @ the "Elmira International" and wisked away to Minny on a private jet, NHL style. No "bone shaker bus" this trip.

Go U Eagles!

haha that's pretty sweet. ncaa sponsored private jet or courtesy of Elmira boosters?

Re: Elmira Soaring Eagles 2010

I'm thinking courtesy of the ncaa - my D's team got a charter flight last year to Madtown, along with the Boston College team who went on to Minnesota. It is pretty nice, and a great way to fly! Good luck this weekend!

Thanks DSF.

I must say...You can certainly look forward to getting your "Rookie of the Year" back in the lineup for the next campaign.

Go Big Green 10/11! ;)

Re: Elmira Soaring Eagles 2010

Thanks! Although our D is graduating this year I'm sure we'll keep an eye on things! We actually are making the trip to St. Pete's on Friday - will meet up with some Finns we know. Maybe see you at the rink -

Re: Elmira Soaring Eagles 2010

Hey 5-4, I hear that Hwy 75 and the I-29 & I-94 will be a danger zone Thursday, as there will some lost Albertans trying to hop the Red River puddles on the way to St. Peter....not to worry, we're dry here now...not so sure how the return trip through Fargo/Moorhead will be on Sunday. Watch out for Soaring Eagle 35 and Save the Jets.....we don't brake for western oil slicks! :p

Flew last Tuesday into the Peg on the milk run from TO, so saw the carnage from the air. Although the basin looks wet the Red wasn't flowing yet so all should be good in the valley...at least to the North. No worries, I'm an original Manitoban so water off a duck's back to me. With a cup win in St. Peter we'll ride the mighty Red all the way home by Sunday....Thanks for the tip. We'll be watching for you.:)

Re: Elmira Soaring Eagles 2010
