Election Results Thread

Re: Election Results Thread

Almost 50% of the electorate voted explicitly for some of the most repugnant ideas I've heard in the political sphere.

That's a big deal. And with support in both houses, he has the means to make good on some of them.

And, quite frankly, sentiments against religious freedom, against minorities, against women, against the disabled, against the poor... all validated by 50% of the electorate.

This. The country set itself back 60 years.

geezer,

Do you know any minorities...if so how do you think they feel right now? What happened to the American Dream? 50 million Americans said "It is only for us...go F yourself".

Whats worse, they knew they were being lied too...the Drumpfers know he is full of crap and that everything he says is a lie and they just dont care.

Re: Election Results Thread

My Black, BernieBro, #neverhillary friend is doing 3 things right now:

1. Gloating at Hillary, and to him the DNC, losing because "they *ed over Bernie."

2. Saying he won because he "didn't give into fear."

3. Touting Michelle Obama 2016.

Welcome to delusional America.

Re: Election Results Thread

How much of the vote in either column was a vote against the other column?

Re: Election Results Thread

I've said it and I'm gonna keep repeating it: Third Way has to die.

The problem with that is, I am not entirely sure what way I would go if the parties really do a full realignment. I'm far from an orc, but I'm also not a full-blown socialist.

And to those who will reply "Libertarian" - buzz off. I've already been down that road, and those neckbeards will never moderate their capitalist economics to a palatable point.

BTW - its 1:37 am on the East Coast and it's not over yet. There could still be a miracle for HRC.

AP just called PA for tD.

Re: Election Results Thread

I'm in both awe and horror that he flipped PA. If MI and WI go his way too, that is basically the #RustBeltRevolt (copyright Kep).

Re: Election Results Thread

My 10yr old daughter is going to have a lot of questions in the morning, I'm not going to have many answers.

Guys lay off Brent we are angry but it isnt his fault.

I totally agree. I regret calling him out. I know him and he's no fan of Trump.

And I want to make it clear that I still have no intention of leaving America. But I won't deny that it has lost a bit of its luster to me tonight.

What a shame. That's all I've got.

Of course, if Hillary had gotten Gary Johnson a little more into play, she would be having a whole lot better night right now. Just another 1 or 2 percent of the Never Hillary crowd going to Johnson instead of Trump would be really useful for her.
