Re: Election Results Thread

Vera has made comments about relocating. Good chunk of her family is in Canada.

Never considered it. Still probably won't happen, but the seed is trying to take root.

Re: Election Results Thread

Think about this...Michigan is voting for a Party that has poisoned them.

Yep. Like I said, if we are confirmed for Trump, I'm done with this state. I'll be asking my boss about the transfer process at our next 1-on-1; I'm not joking. I've been thinking about this already, and a Trump victory here would just confirm it - I've already got a few other areas in mind.

Seattle? Denver? MSP? Boston? You're the short list - make your pitches. ;)

Note: I'm not going to be that guy who screams "CANADA!!!!". And it's unrealistic that they would let me go there anyway, since most of our clients are here, and international transfers are infinitely trickier. Thanks to white, male privilege, there are certain things I can do in the short term to alleviate the stupidity of a Trump presidency. Getting out of a state that voted for the Butternut Turd is one of them.

Re: Election Results Thread

Other than personal things, I don't think I have ever been more sad. I really believe in the American experiment. Sovereignty has to be vested in the people -- there is no morally superior way.

The people have spoken.

Remember when you used to say that Democracy doesnt work because people tend to be uninformed...you were right I was wrong.

People want Washington fixed...and they think Drumpf can do it...wow.

NH has Hillary up 18 votes...

Re: Election Results Thread

As I posted weeks ago, Hell is too good a place for Hillary to spend eternity if she could not find a way to convince enough of the voters to vote for her. Had she not run, I can't imagine this not being a democratic landslide with literally any other democratic candidate if that democrat ran against Trump. For good reasons or bad, she was so a known hated commodity that even the single worst candidate to run on a major party ticket for president in perhaps the history of the country could beat her. We talk about the fact that the republicans put party ahead of country all the time on this forum. Well Hillary put her personal glory ahead of country in a big way.

Sadness.

Re: Election Results Thread

On the bright side, just think of all the new job opportunities available picking vegetables and mowing lawns. We'll bus all those inner city welfare freeloaders out to the country and put them to work.

Minnesota is a wonderful place to live. We welcome (I thought  ) education and diversity. If you do move, consider the Twin Cities and anything that touches the 694/494 loop.

Seattle is uber liberal...even my bleeding heart gf couldnt stand it ;)

MSP is nice...or it will be as long as Dayton is here.

Close. They don't want another cog of Washington in the White House again. Unfortunately, Trump happened to be the candidate. I mentioned elsewhere, US went nuclear instead of just using a well-placed bomb.
