And Nevada is no longer in play. It was going to be closer than it should be before but now...no way do the major metro areas and colleges not get the vote out and hard.

This is strategic in a way I am not accustomed to seeing from Democrats. They know there is a bunch of states Trump has to flip to have a chance and they are putting Abortion on the ballot on just enough of them to back him in a corner. Trump has little margin for error and he is watching as his options for flips are slipping through his chubby little fingers. Even if RFK Jr. somehow screws Biden in Michigan (which I dont think will be the case) Trump still needs to flip back GA and Pennsylvania on top of that to win. Not split them, win them. Now GA I could buy, but I don't see Pennsylvania going back for Trump. As I said a couple of weeks ago, the election for Trump comes down to Pennsylvania...he needs to flip it or electorally he is in all sorts of trouble...no matter what 1000 people who answer their landlines tell you.
 
The landline-only thing has been refuted. The pollsters call cell phones too, the issue is that a lot of people born after 1980 don't answer numbers we don't recognize, because we grew up with caller ID.

The good ones do. I think 538 used to make whether cell phones were called in a poll.

agreed.

Between now and roughly morning news hour 11/6/24, we're going to see a lot of the true colors of everyone left of center.

are they people who can make an adult decision?
Is the party going to be able to communicate with each other like adults?
are we all going to do the right, best, and honorable thing?

It doesn't matter what type of phone they call, only certain demographics answer.

And the thing is they have to put in so much work just to get what in no way is an actual representative sample its stupid anyways. Then they pretend that this atastically insignificant total with a skewed demo somehow represents all voters in all states. They don't even get respondents from every state...

Polling is broken and the pollsters have zero desire to fix it.

This is just incorrect. It's how statistics works. You can use a small sample and apply it to a population. You just add the appropriate error bars around it.

I understand how stats work but 1000 people does not represent 150 million anymore. It gets proven more and more every poll.
 
So amongst the clickbait headlines about Chicago protests for the dnc convention coming up, I did learn one new fact- apparently Chicago is home to the largest Palestinian- American population in the US
