Election 2024: Dark Brandon to the Resucue!

Nerd Prom 2024 was last night. Biden had a home run of a set and Colin Jost did well (where his jokes fell flat on the crowd appeared to be when they cut a little too accurate for their liking (ie: TikTok/Jan6th)).

Biden's set: https://youtu.be/Cbk7elR9I_I?si=FHFf7jcGSlp0cqYq

Colin Jost's set: https://youtu.be/9c6uQrPLiZk?si=YgVd75b0ftbX8QYF

Also, Twitler didnt like the evening and ranted into the wind on Truth Social about how bad both were.

“We’re all here at Nerd Prom, while Matt Gaetz is at the real prom.”

the best Jost joke of the night.

Yes, keep talking about Abortion! Between that and all the crappy Senate Candidates the GOP is putting up November is going to be really good to these clowns!

Sounds like DEA is now supporting re-classifying Cannabis as a schedule III drug...getting closer!

Schedule III: Suboxone, Ketamine, Marinol/synthetic THC, 'roids, most barbiturates

Schedule IV: Xanax, Valium, and other benzos; choral hydrate; long-acting barbiturates; tramadol (all of which are synthetic and more addictive than the CSA would define them as)

Schedule V: Small concentrations of certain opiates (like cough syrup with codeine)

It's a step in the right direction, but still pretty silly in context.

Oh it's still dumb...but it's a start. Plus it will allow for medical testing on a bigger scale. Full declassification wasn't going to happen in one move.

I believe this will also allow for federal guidelines on sales that will make it easier on dispensaries and make it easier to pardon offenders.

It's a start...

Is this likely to make workplace drug testing less restrictive? I’m so tired of states where it’s legal still disqualifying people from a job because of it. I thought that was always due to federal schedule

It's still a grey area when it comes to testing...

Again, with my line of work, it's still a "Zero Tolerance" if you are under the influence of anything while working (Alcohol, weed, etc.). But I also understand your point about pre-employment drug screens.

They really do need to come up with an "instant analysis" form of screening for Weed/THC/etc. No idea how the science works on this, but I feel it's gonna be needed before things can really move forward on this subject.

Oh yeah for jobs that require total sobriety it’s a different story.

what I’ve faced the last few years is - my former employer acquired well, everyone and we’d be rebadging mass amounts of people into our company. Colorado, Maine, Washington, Oregon, - pick any state where it’s legal - presented issues and I’d have people tell me they refused to stop taking marijuana for a month to pass a test. These were white collar laptop jockeys who worked from home
