am I reading the live stats right? RPI hasn't a single shot on goal in the 3rd period with 2 minutes left? WOW! Their goalie must be doing a fabulous job.

Cornell scores with 7 second left to tie it up. Johnston got the equalizer. Going to OT tied at two.
Shots were 18-0 in the third, 33-12 for the game.
Other scorers in the game were White for Cornell to open the scoring, VandeGrift to not it at one and Dunlop to give RPI the 2-1 lead until the Johnston equaliser.
Over in Jersey, Tigers leading Quinny 1-0.
Edit: There was an update on the equaliser. Orginally credited to Karpenko, now given to Johnston, with Karpenko to assist.

Sounds like it was an amazing game. I only followed on livestats but would love to get a report from someone who saw it.

First period was mostly Cornell pressuring RPI in their end with Vanderbliek weathering the storm. She was outstanding all game. I'm sure Slebodnick would like to have have another go at RPI's first goal. It was a nice shot from the high slot but she should have stopped it.
Second period was much more even though I would give RPI the edge in play. Cornell took a lot of penalties in the second and looked pretty sloppy. Cornell wasn't passing well in the second and wasn't really playing their game.
Third period was all Cornell. Vanderbliek was a wall in the third. Cornell scored a goal with but 1 minute 30 seconds remaining but it was waived off. Johnston drove through several RPI players and the goalie. Not certain why it was waived off. My guess is the refs called a player in the crease. About 5 RPI players and 3 Cornell players were in the net by the time the whistle came. I would have thought the way the play developed the puck crossed the line before the herd of skaters, but the refs felt differently. Johnston was eventually able to score the game tying goal with about 7 seconds remaining. Karpenko sent the puck to Johnston in the front of the net and Johnston roofed it over Vanderbliek's shoulder on the near side. I'm sure it had to be very deflating for RPI.
Karlee Overguard notched the game winning goal off a rebound from Jenner's shot about 1 minute and thirty seconds into OT.

I have to say I'm surprised by the result from Hanover. I know it's a three game series and Dartmouth should come back to win but to lose by more than two at home has to be of some concern to the Big Green coaching staff. Did not look like Dartmouth came to play today.
Also, don't be fooled by the Harvard score. SLU took it to us in the second and third periods aided by numerous Harvard penalties. They outshot and outskated us in those two periods. We were opportunistic in the first when we essentially thought we put the game away. I'm hoping the Crimson turn it up a notch or two on Saturday.

Can't speak for Dartmouth, but I saw the Clarkson surge coming. They have a lot of good rookies in their stable with big credentials from the past. It took them a while to get going. Saw a big difference in that team between the first time I saw them play and then later in the year. I called it last week, and me thinks Clarkson is gonna win this round with the biggest difference being the tending, and two of their forward rookies getting hot late in the year.

I agree Clarkson got better and has better goaltending, but Dartmouth improved a lot too still handled them easily on the road recently. Certainly wasn't Clarkson's best game last time and I'm sure they came in with something to prove and maybe Dartmouth took them too lightly. Looking at the box score, I wouldn't pin the loss on goaltending: everyone played worse. Now maybe Dartmouth got deflated after giving up so many early goals, but you don't blame the goaltending for that. Dartmouth should have enough firepower and will to comeback from such an early deficit.
