It's going to be a good game for sure, however, I think EC will finally win the Title on home ice for the first time since '94

I don't attend many M'ville games as I'm a bit of a jinx.Since my son began playing for them I'm 0-7 watching in person witnessing 2 ncaa losses (07 Middlebury, 08 Norwich) and 5 regular season defeats (3 to Elmira).

No offense intended Valliant Defender, but Valiants is spelled with only 1 L. Perhaps the reason for your jinx is that you've been rooting for the wrong team all along!? Try changing your moniker.

What monkey would that be?

Manhattanville won the ECAC West tournament in 2007 and 2008. In '08 they beat EC on their home ice 1-0 in the first time the ECAC West finals were held in Elmira since 1994.

Elmira hasn't won the ECAC West since 2006.

The only monkey on Manhattanville's back in the NCAA championship appearance. Even with all their great records this past decade, they've only made the Frozen Four once.

When you have players like 6'1 Steve Cunningham who played for D-1 Denver (3 games) last year that cannot crack M'villes lineup a freshman like Ronnie Smith isn't going to have an easy time getting in.----- and Prez I still consider EC a monkey no matter what.

There is however one technical reason that EC persists as a monkey on M'villes back.I believe that besides RIT,EC is the only other program that M'ville has a losing record against overall(3 results or more) and we all know that RIT went from monkey to gorilla and left;on the other hand EC remains a mere monkey.

Maybe just maybe you should pay a little more attention to your sons team... Cunningham has played in 18 games for the Violents. 3 goals, 4 assists, 7 points. Also I believe Cunningham had a big injury last year after playing 18 games for Denver his freshman year.

Just trying to offer insight as to why a freshman might have trouble with playing time at M;ville.You are correct about Cunningham, however he has been a scratch for the last month or so.By the way I don't feel comfortable or qualified to comment in a public forum about M'ville players and will refrain from doing so.

I'm not asking for your son's name. I asked what year he was. You mentioned that he played for Manhattanville.
