found out today - a friend of our neighbor's is from Colombia. She worked at a local daycare, here legally, etc.

She got pulled over 5 times by feds in the last few months, and has already fled back to Colombia.

We don't need no daycare workers

They pulled over Omar's son as well. Funny I thought the Feds had zero authority to make traffic stops...

Good thing the Chief of MPD is around to make sure ICE doesn't break any laws!!

I hate to be an "I told you so" person right now, but I called this months ago. And it has nothing to do with the current political climate.

This event is not successful in the USA unless it is within an easy drive to Canada. The Twin Cities is too far. And even Buffalo the second time had very poor attendance, because the event oversatuated the Southern Ontario maket -- within a short period of time, the World Juniors were in Buffalo twice and Toronto (sharing with Montreal) twice.

I used to say it every year on the Gopher sites that the WJC is a joke in the States and it was always funny how people would pretend they spend all year checking out Juniors ready for the squad to come together...when in reality they didn't even know all the Minnesota Players most of the time.
