Dump Term 2, Part 2: "A third term would be a big shattering."

There is no bravery in ordering others into live fire.

And if you can only manage empathy for the Common Clay of the New West, you would be blown away how many of these people are from those roots. A lot of them have given their entire adult lives trying to help the Poors, not out of theory but because that's where they came from. You are confusing my snobbery with their caring. Sure, I want to end poverty because I maintain poverty turns humans into animals. I own that. But they want to end poverty because they came from it.

You've swallowed a narrative as much full of bullshit as your GOP brethren who want to punish all them gol' durned elites. It's a fantasy deliberately created by people who want you to hate government workers so they can loosen the binds on their greed.

Hate me all you want. "More weight!" But you owe those fuckers. They were smart enough to go off to law school and a white shoe firm and spend their lives screwing you with the other corporate goons. Instead, they took a massive cut and take the continual ignorant abuse of rubes like you. They worked to help you and yours.

You owe them, asshole. Your life would be 100x worse without them. So eat that.
He's losing his job anyway. Least he can do is go out on his terms, and not kowtow to the bully. Jesus, if he gets fired, at least he gets unemployment.

Give me a break. "Live fire" It's not a fucking war. He's a highly educated career attorney, I'm sure he's gonna end up just fine.

Even better, since now he can make all that money in the private sector that he wasn't getting in a menial gubmint job.

Given how lazy the Trump administration is I am going to guess that today's Autism announcement will be that taking Tylenol during pregnancy causes it.

Of course there is absolutely NO evidence to support that finding at this time. But during a speech he indicated that it matters not whether it is right or wrong, just that they have an answer.

Wait so there are more cases of autism when during pregnancy the mother took the only painkiller you can take while pregnant than versus other painkillers?

They should look into the fact that more cases of autism have occurred when the kid lives somewhere where the sun rises in the east as opposed to the west.

So that speech Joseph Goebbels gave at the Kirk memorial sure was something, eh?

"We are the storm," said senior White House adviser Stephen Miller. "Our enemies cannot comprehend our strength, our determination, our resolve, our passion."

He went on to say that conservatives would fight for Western culture and traditions and that their opponents have nothing but wickedness and jealousy.

"You have no idea the dragon you have awakened," he said.

I am hoping, HOPING, that RFK Jr's throat finally shuts him the f*ck up today.......

But then the orange buffoon will just have his handlers roll him off the stage and take over with his asinine comments.....

Maybe they should take a look at microwave ovens? I mean, we didn't have the food allergies, autism and the amount of special education students in the 80s that they have now. Not to mention the increase in other medical conditions.

Not every household had a microwave when they first came out, now just about every household has one and uses it.

I think Dump doesn't care about autism one way or the other. RFK Jr. is there because nepobabies relate. Dump believes Eyeballs = Intellect. His toddler attention span will jump elsewhere when Bobby Jr joins his dad for a stern talking to.

Oh fuck. It's the Internet. So now the government will need to carefully regulate your use of it, for your own protection.

LOL! I remember when my grandparents first got one, it was the early 80s. She would make sure that no one, NO ONE, opened that door until the buzzer quit buzzing because that was radiation bouncing around inside of that thing. As if that 3 seconds we had to wait eliminated all of that.

Now, I am opening the door before the dinger dings just so I don't wake anyone up in the morning. The dog still comes running, but that is a different problem.

You and I are of a slightly different generation. My Mom told me when they got their first telephone in the 30s both my grandparents refused to use it. My grandfather thought it was uncouth (consider: my grandfather was a bartender*). My grandmother thought, and I swear I am not making this up, that it was haunted. She was old enough to have grown up during the heyday of spiritualism.

Fun fact: our second apartment in Boston was on top of a Swedenborgian church. Not the New Church. Some old school followers of the True Way. Rappings and shit.

* I only recently found this out. Growing up my mother always assured us her father had been "a banker." At my dad's funeral I was talking with some our our Pennsylvania relatives, and they set me straight. I looked at the census records and they were right. He was just the barman who took the money down to the bank. So, Trusted Circle, I guess?

Look up your ancestors' professions in the census, it's fascinating. I come from a line of "unskilled laborer" and, my personal favorite, "occupation unverifiable."

It’s always fun finding out about stuff like that.

My favorite was my mom (and I) learning that my grandfather use to do sparring for professional boxers while stationed with the Army in New Jersey. Apparently he had to step in last minute as a replacement one time, won the fight and made some mobster a bunch of money betting on him. As a thank you, the guy sent some people to his house and gave my grandmother some cash.

This was common enough in NYC, even when I was growing up which was the 70s FFS, it was called a "Christmas turkey." Though by then it wasn't for winning a fight, it was for ratting out a stooge. This turkey brought to you by Joey's broken knee caps.

TBF it was enough to buy a car. The look in my mother’s eyes when she found out the family car of her childhood was bought with money from the mob!

When my paternal grandfather died and my father and Aunt were cleaning out the condo, they discovered official paperwork that my grandfather's family had changed their last name (the one I have). Now get this, they did it when my grandfather, and his siblings, were either young adults or older teenagers. Thus, they would have known about it completely. Heck the adults all had to sign the paperwork.

Yet, my grandfather never told my father or Aunt. They had no idea. When we asked my grandmother (they probably would have been dating at about that time), she brushed it off. Which of course, raised my suspicion big time.

One of these days I'm going to research this. I'm sure it won't be as exciting as my imagination, but still. (One other possibly related note, both sides of my family were, shall we say, not exactly in agreement with prohibition. A few wild family stories about that, including my great grandmother (my aforementioned grandfather's mother-in-law) getting arrested. Which of course, has my imagination running in overdrive.)
