Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

Hegseth orders cyber command to stand down on all Russia planning

At this point the US being in NATO is more dangerous.

"I'd rather have a Russian army in front of me than an American army behind me."

The GOP has completely destroyed everything this nation was.
Absolutely true. Lindsey Graham was as recently as what, 3 months ago, praising Ukraine and saying such sh*t as the Ukraine incursion into the Kursk region was “brilliant” and “bold.” Begged Biden to send UKRAINE more supplies. Now, see his response to that disgusting charade in the White House today. Current Republicans were never going to help the country. I know you weren’t arguing they were…just acknowledging how f*cking terrifying this has all been. It’s one thing to f*ck our own country. But the world?

3 months ago? Try like 3 hours ago. He and Klobuchar took a selfie with Zelenskyy after a meeting right before the Oval Office debacle.

I agree but they aren't there yet. They will be soon though.

Honestly I wish they would just say "thanks but no thanks" and force the issue.

Can they demand all US soldiers vacate the continent immediately??? Then take the equipment 😝😝
They can no longer allow us to use their bases which would then force us to move the soldiers elsewhere. But I am pretty sure that is Trump's plan anyways...

Oh my God did anyone catch the part of the Oval Office meeting where MTG’s boyfriend asks Zelenskyy why he never wears suits? “You’re at the highest level in this country’s office and you refuse to wear a suit.” “Just want to see if you do own a suit.” Zelenskyy responds “I will wear costume after war ends.” I…will anyone respect us ever again on the world stage?
One of the most vile things I've ever seen. I hope that guy never has a moment of peace in his life.

Europe need to begin the work of trying to isolate the U.S.
I don't know how, and have even more questions as to whether the public there has the intestinal fortitude to make it happen, but I don't percieve any other way forward for them.

Listening to the BBC and serious questions are being asked as to if the 80-year transatlantic partnership is now dead.
Everything is fixable with time. But I don't see how right now.

The thing that needs to be fixed is Europe being our dependent. The US being the unipolar leader has harmed the world in many ways, since we are so regressive when compared with the truly civilized part of the world. Our UN votes are awful. Our wars are sick.

Let's take our spot on the evil side of the divide and make the real democracies finally stand up. The enlightenment needs a Darwinian kick in the ass. We were a 200-year distraction in the story of the real drive towards freedom and dignity. Time they took the torch back.

And Ukraine has NATO on their side...if Trump pulls support and Russia invades (which they will have to do at full bore) it's all over but the shouting.

Zelenskyy put his nuts on the table and made Dear Leader flinch and go on tilt. Problem is Trump doesn't react well and now likely forces the world to the brink of a very ugly conflict. The question is how long will Trump keep us out of it...
I really don't think the military is going to go to war against Europe if thats what you're implying.

I think your quote is broken lol

Otherwise yes, agreed. Better to have more than one superpower.

I guess Zelenskyy didn't sign the deal and the PC about it had been canceled.

I take it back...I think they planned this to tank the deal.
Yes it was. The whole thing was a setup for Donnie to let the whole world watch Zelensky kiss his ass. And when Zelensky wouldn't do it, Donnie reacted just the way he does with everyone who doesn't kiss his ass.

Zelensky was all set to do the mineral deal in exchange for US backing. But Donnie couldn't do that, cause his boss Uncle Putie doesn't want him to. I mean, he might have, if Zelensky groveled before him like he wanted, and then continued the tepid 'will he or won't he' keep supporting Ukraine, but Zelensky wouldn't polish his knob. So he sabotaged it, in his petulant little boy manner, evident from the moment Zelensky arrived and his snarky little comment "look, he got all dressed up"

And so here we are, on the verge of a NATO against Russia war. And I think NATO's pretty certain by now which side the US is on. Question is, does Donnie keep us out of it, or do we really side with Russia here?
