Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

Brain worm wants to run new clinical trial on every vaccine that a child gets

You know, the fact he doesn’t even begin to understand why that’s impossible is horrifying

Then again, maybe he’s found his mengle already

My Nephew has a rambunctious son, just turned 7, he was at a private school, they complained about his behavior. My son and his wife knew he flit from one thing or another at the drop of a hat. Drs diagnose ADHD. Private school said you would be better off putting him in Public school where they have the resources to handle him . Good luck to any kids with some kind of learning issue going to a charter/private school.
My daughter has been all but diagnosed with ADHD by medical professionals during her last few visits with doctors. They can't/won’t officially diagnose ADHD until children are in first grade, so now it's just waiting. We are enrolling her in the local public schools for kindergarten next year due to their greater ability to handle children with her needs.
It’s a common Silicon Valley/Techbro technique, slash everything and see what breaks. Which is fine when you run a tech company, not so great for a government.

Another lesson of government can not be run like a business.
That’s the cutthroat MBA move, not limited to tech companies. My employer has been doing this for the past four years or so.

At the moment, probably 2/3 of the jobs are being filled by our India teams. Last summer, two senior business execution analysts were laid off. When the manager made a big stink about one of them in particular due to her immense knowledge and tremendous ability to apply it well, he was flat out told that the higher ups weren’t worried about the knowledge lost because they were about to hire three (inexperienced) Indians to take her place and still save on the labor budget.

People are overreacting.

He's said something like "only he can interpret the law"

Which is like saying he's ending the first amendment by EO. No he's not.
He’s also saying he controls all agencies and they report to him.

I think you want to be careful telling people they’re overreacting. A lot of bad stuff is going on.

I read an invisible /s on dx' post.

The point isn't can he Constitutionally. It's will his derps and bootlickers finally stop kow-towing. I don't see Republican members getting any less cowardly or Republican voters getting any less stupid. And without that guardrail, he can do anything he wants.

Even the best designed democratic system cannot survive the double abdication of its citizens and leaders. The US has no Suicide Hotline.

I could have missed the /s, sure. Why anyone thinks the courts will save is beyond me.

If what I posted in the stated thread doesn’t terrify you, then well…

A fucking list of pregnant women available to the public

Except he is...and no one is stopping him. You can pretend otherwise but there is no resistance from anyone. Just harsh words and finger wagging. Until someone actually fights him and a judge threatens his freedom over it he will do what he wants, when he wants how he wants.

So we aren't overreacting you are under-reacting. This is not normal this crap is very bad and we aren't equipped to stop it. The guardrails won't hold because one guardrail (The Courts) don't even pretend to care half the time and the other (Congress) agrees with him.

The Courts won't even stop Musk and he is a private citizen...Trump is going Imperial here and some want to pretend it's all bluster. It isn't. It shouldn't be working but the other two branches quit.

We are going to find out whether Americans deserve to be free. These guys are the fever dreams that have always been within every rightwing breast. But for the 61 years since the Goldwater Spanking they were bright enough to hide it underneath the various Atwateresque fig leaves (state's rights, small government, fiscal responsibility, supply side, rights of the unborn).

These guys just bray it loudly in the public square: domination, power, cruelty. The question is has the RWNM boiled the frog long enough that the derps keep swallowing and begging for more, or do they finally snap and turn on their abusers.

Even if the courts rule against him(and Roberts did make he big "we've got powers too" speech when he ranted before the election about politicians disregarding court rulings they don't like, but what happens when Donnie just ignores them and keeps on keeping on?

It's not like barring the Justice Department, the courts have any enforcement mechanisms of their own. And we all know who the Justice Department works for. Say the court rules Elon goes to jail for contempt? Who's gonna make him go?

The court rules Donnie has to stop his purged, and all these people need to be hired back? Who forces him to do that? You think Donnie says, "oh well, the courts said do. Hire them all back"?

If he defies the courts, or the Supreme side with him, this country as we know it is over.

One and one half branches capitulated to him allowing this, the remaining half is mostly "Susan Collins-ing it" saying that they're cross at him, but hopes he learned his lesson.

A small sliver is actually putting up a fight (Crockett, AOC). I'm not as bitter towards the Dems as some on Bluesky, but goddammit at least do you job and lie to me a little that there's court challenges being formed. Why am I hearing more pushback from the Alt National Parks account and Adam Kinzinger than my own goddammed elected officials.

This!!!

Every independent agency set up to oversee now reports to him. And any rules given to the executive branch can only be interpreted by the executive branch.

Can't be. Supreme Court ruled last year that agencies can't develop their own rules and regulations in how they operate and how laws get enforced. The Congress has to specify in detail what their passed laws mean, and how they should be interpreted in execution.
