When you don't know who you should be firing and who you shouldn't, then you just have to assume there is no basis for any of these people being purged other than on a whim.

It’s a common Silicon Valley/Techbro technique, slash everything and see what breaks. Which is fine when you run a tech company, not so great for a government.

Another lesson of government can not be run like a business.

Make sure she downloads / prints all performance reviews on file, all promotion letters, everything in her personnel file. Immediately.

They're claiming it's because of performance, but *anyone* who has had a promotion within the last year as well is labeled "probationary" and these dumb fucks don't understand that. They're assuming probationary means bad.

If she's also in a union (doubtful at her level?), make sure she communicates with her reps.


*edit* Also, back up and/or print all email and phone contacts. NOW. Make offline copies of email (if possible with the GOV security settings). Once they turn off that access, those items will be lost.

Not a government agency, but I had a boss twice lose his contacts because they were synced to his work email (despite being his personal cell phone) when he quit each place.

Yup...and honestly it doesnt work in Silicon Valley either. It did in the 80s/90s...
 
That strategy is what gave "Chainsaw Al" Dunlap his nickname. With any luck, Musk will meet a similar fate - exposed for major fraud and rarely heard from until his death.

Drs diagnose ADHD. Private school said you would be better off putting him in Public school where they have the resources to handle him . My daughter has been all but diagnosed with ADHD by medical professionals during her last few visits with doctors. They can't/won’t officially diagnose ADHD until children are in first grade, so now it's just waiting. We are enrolling her in the local public schools for kindergarten next year due to their greater ability to handle children with her needs.

That’s the cutthroat MBA move, not limited to tech companies. My employer has been doing this for the past four years or so.

At the moment, probably 2/3 of the jobs are being filled by our India teams. Last summer, two senior business execution analysts were laid off. When the manager made a big stink about one of them in particular due to her immense knowledge and tremendous ability to apply it well, he was flat out told that the higher ups weren’t worried about the knowledge lost because they were about to hire three (inexperienced) Indians to take her place and still save on the labor budget.

I think you want to be careful telling people they’re overreacting. A lot of bad stuff is going on.

I read an invisible /s on dx' post.

The point isn't can he Constitutionally. It's will his derps and bootlickers finally stop kow-towing. I don't see Republican members getting any less cowardly or Republican voters getting any less stupid. And without that guardrail, he can do anything he wants.

Even the best designed democratic system cannot survive the double abdication of its citizens and leaders. The US has no Suicide Hotline.
 
I could have missed the /s, sure. Why anyone thinks the courts will save is beyond me.
