All he has to do is file a lawsuit (in the 5th district naturally) claiming discrimination based on tbe 22nd...the federal court there will agree and it will end up in front of the SC. Gorsuch and Co. will say that "originally there was no term limits" and boom game over.

And before anyone brings up logical reasons why that won't work remember norms no longer exist. It's open season.

Oh, no, this Supreme Court would totally rule in favor of giving Trump a third term.

There will be pockets of resistance, but not a full scale Civil War until the Dictator has held power for years.

You are talking about a situation where the Supreme Court has overtly upended the Constitution. It would be full-scale Civil War.

If the military sided with Dump that would be a short war.

And SCOTUS cannot, by definition, act unconstitutionally.

All the pieces are there for the Nazis. All the Court needs to do now is rule Dem votes don't count. It was always there, just waiting for a country with a sufficient number of craven people who didn't care about democratic institutions and just wanted revenge and torture. And thanks to the last 50 years of Republican behavior, now we have it.

The only good news is, historically, when these regimes do fall, they typically take virtually every one of their supporters with them to the grave. So this is the beginning of post-derp America. We'll just be the ones who walk through the fire to get there. The Wheel of Fortune happened to land on us; coulda been anyone.

I completely agree. Like there are certain lines that would spark this. Cutting off funding, US troop deployments that involved civilians.

we're basically one foot in that door already.
