Depends on your definition of fun. I didn't think it was fun since I found it mediocre at best.

Norwich had 28 players last year and I'd say things worked out pretty well for them.I understand how the 13 skaters can happen but 28? There are a lot of people on that roster that are a long way from home. Coaches will have to do a pretty good job of managing playing time to keep them all happy.

I wasn't aware of that. Full marks to the coach for pulling it off and presumably to the players for buying in.
I agree its probably a tad on the large side, especially for women's hockey. I'd say the optimal number is more like 25 or 26.
But, Norwich made it work and the rest is history.
