Div-3 Hockey 2011-2012

Re: Div-3 Hockey 2011-2012

Prez, what with the banner raising and all, are tickets at a premium for the East/West? Last year they were available on-line?

I heard the Fiver crew scooped up all the premium seats. :D

Re: Div-3 Hockey 2011-2012

I am so ready to watch that banner go up I'd go for standing room!

I know you like standing but I'm sure there will still be plenty of seats available.

We sit 1400 and have the capacity for 2300.

We don't expect to come anywhere close to either of those figures although we are hoping for the biggest crowd we've ever had to date which is 569.

Norwich women drop the puck tonight in an exhibition against the Ontario Hockey Academy.

OHA lost 6-1 to New Hampshire and was outshot 55-7 in the one game I found that they played against a US College so far.

OHA did lead 1-0 early though.

Three of the OHA kids are already committed to D-I schools for next year. There are four former OHA alumni on Norwich's roster with Kayla Lascelle, Haley Gibson, Renee Lortie and Tyne Gove.

Kayla Lascelle's dad, Giles, runs the Academy and coaches the team.

Re: Div-3 Hockey 2011-2012

I'm stating it.

Norwich looked a little sluggish in the first five minutes and OHA carried the play but couldn't score.

NU got the lone goal. Jillayne DeBus pounded home a rebound off an initial shot from Kaycie Anderson that was saved by OHA's Alexane Rodrigue.

1-0 NU after 20 minutes.

Shots are 11-6 Norwich.

Joanie Plamondon with the start in goal for the Cadets and had one impressive save already on a slapper from the top of circles. Came out and challenged it and caught it with her shoulder to cut down the angle.

OHA has a couple studs.
