Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version
That's more like it. Big Max does the job and the guns produce. Don't like the 9th inning with Valverde, but a win is a win. Coming home 1-1 with Verlander on the hill.

Nice win by Detroit today. Scherver was incredibly good, Detroit got good hitting when they needed it after the early 2 run homer, and they did enough to win. Got exciting at the end for those of us who stayed in the stadium, really felt like a walk-off was in the cards, but Valverde got Cano to ground out. We'll see what happens in the battle of the aces part 1.5 tomorrow night.
Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 2 - The Charlie Gehringer version
Verlander was cruising until he got 2 strikes on Posada, and then ****ed around too long with him. A walk, an HBP later, and a shot to left center, and we're tied. Goddammit.
He was at ~ 85 pitches, and just like that, he's over 100.
