Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Hopefully he aims that bat in the general vicinity of Raburn.

FWIW, Magglio is hitting 7th tonight.

Quick point of housekeeping. This thread will close on or around 1,000 posts, and Volume 2 will begin, regardless of whether the board automatically closes it.

WHAT. THE. ****. Delmon Young? Seriously, Dombrowski? I guess the legacy of comically bad play in left field continues. Great move picking up a guy that doesn't play when it's cold for a run in September.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

We gave up an A-ball pitcher and a PTBNL. I don't think we have much downside here.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

You got a run courtesy of Raburn, after Betemit gave you the first one. That should be enough.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

There's the Raburn we're accustomed to. Play 2nd base like you've got a tennis racket instead of a glove, and then strike out to open the next inning.

Until you watch him waddle his fat *** over to a ball in play rather than running for it. Honestly, I'd rather take my chances with Ordonez.

I guess if Craig Monroe can score the run that puts the Tigers in the World Series, maybe this clown can help, but I'm not expecting much.

We'll see. I've seen Magglio let flyballs hit him squarely in the buttcheek, and Raburn play left field like an alien just dropped onto planet Earth. *shrug*

Delmon could cure AIDS the rest of this season and I still wouldn't be mad about that trade.

#599 for Thome.

And if #600 happens at Comerica, there will be a homer light.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Uhhh, that was a nice attempt by Revere, good, hard-nosed, and clean, and all that..............but if you're going to run the catcher over, you might at least want to be somewhat close to same size at the catcher in question.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

I was waiting for it to happen during a day game, where I wouldn't have my normal internet access to put one up.

Generally I will put up a light for the other team if we're playing like steamed * on soggy bread, or the rare special occasion, like this.
