Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

The Tribe screwed that one up a few times, from Brantley dropping the ball to the 3B not handling the throw.

That 415 ft blast is going to draw a column from Lynn Henning.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

I was going to make a comment about Inge striking out with the bases loaded, but two hits later it's 9-1. I'll leave him alone for the time being.

10-1 final this time.

3 1/2 game lead.

I'll tell you what, Assdribble Cabrera. If you've got a problem with the way Porcello is pitching to you, go ahead and go to the mound and do something. Ask Kevin Youkilis how well that works out for you.

Especially since Youkilis probably gave Porcello his herpes.

A day like this might by the only time where I miss Kyle Farnsworth.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

Someone's gonna get thrown at soon. The Tribe are getting into "nothing to lose" territory in a hurry.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

A 48-pitch 3rd inning from Ubaldo, and Cleveland didn't even warm anyone up. That one is a head-scratcher.

They were into their pen from the 3rd inning on yesterday.

Edit: Give Avila the rest of the day off and stick Kelly behind the plate.

I think I was asleep.

It's still tough to justify a 50-pitch half inning when the other team puts up a touchdown in said inning, and you don't even get anyone up to throw. I was waiting for Jiminez to say "* it, it's 7-0, here's one behind someone's ear". We might see that yet.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 1 - The Lou Whitaker version

* the bed. Santana clubbed that one. That's what you get when you throw a crippled fastball at 88, belly button high.

JFC, Porcello.

And he's done. What a ****-poor performance after being handed a 7-run lead.

I didn't realize we were playing slow-pitch softball after the 3rd inning. Must be some kind of new rule on Sundays or something.
