I quick flip to the game, see a wild pitch, hear "...99 miles per hour..." and immediately think "Zumaya?" :o :D

He just threw a pitch, turned in agony, shook his arm once and just fell down. Just held it against his body and his hand was shaking.

Robbie Weinhardt, get ready. I don't think we're going to see Danny Schlereth, as that would make 4 lefties in the pen. And I've seen enough of Jay Sborz for a little bit, too.

The problem is, we don't have another Johnny Big Dick-type that's going to come in the 8th inning and blow everyone's nuts off with his 98 mph heater.

I'm thinking the way he was holding his arm, etc, that it's TJ surgery, plus some other ligament/tendon/muscle damage, given the velocity/speed of his pitches. We're talking Robo-Arm replacement.

Funny you say that. I just made another comment on another website about how he's like a racehorse that can't be harnessed.

They might need to put his elbow back together.

I feel bad for the kid, but this was predictable- four years and four serious injuries. The Tigers pitching staff is thinner yet with Miner and Seay gone and Perry and Porcello trying to figure things out.

Can't figure out how long their good fortune will last considering the above plus their infield needs and that Damon is a rental for this year.
