I'm glad I went and played golf tonight. This is horrendous.

8-1 White Sox and counting. Porcello was putrid.

We left the bases juiced in the 8th and Big Boy struck out to end the inning.

Two outs in the 9th, and Gump Laird is at the plate, trailing 3-0. Two questions:

1) Did Avila develop polio overnight? Why is Laird even within 10 feet of a baseball bat?

2) Why is Laird bunting?

Tigers lose, 3-0.

Well, Bonderman's effort just got wasted. 3-3, top 8.

Why Ryan Raburn continues to hit 3rd in Ordonez' absence is beyond me. And to only scrape together 3 runs, 2 of which came as a gift from the Pirate reliever, is ridiculous.

I'm glad the non-hitting version of the White Sox has returned. Very Special Pitching Performance after eight innings for Ted Lilly of the Cubbies.

Yup- 26 straight innings after the first one. That was a solid signing- I thought he'd be more Rodney-like wild.. or more gopherball like- but he has been a real bright spot.

And Miggy with 19 dingers.
