Willis was DFA'ed and a win tonight makes the last two days not so bad in TigerTown.

We're looking at a first pitch of roughly 3:30 today. I'm not surprised, as the storms that rolled through here earlier could have been nasty. We avoided the brunt of it, but the radar was not pretty in some places.

The reason Leyland is still in the game is because Laz Diaz knows he's done a chicken**** job behind the plate today.

He's been about 7 kinds of horrid today. Even down to continuing to chirp at Verlander after Verlander had headed back to the dugout and was clearly done, with Leyland in between them.

Still, if we're not going to hit the ball, it's not going to matter.

4.5 games out at month's end and the Twins are done playing the Yankees and Red Sox. Thanks for coming out.

Seeing a team that wins more than it loses is a reasonable goal for this year. Anything else is a pipe dream.

Apparently the Tigers have found a <strike>sucker</strike> suitor for Dontrelle Willis.

The Tigers are going to trade Willis to the D-Backs for a prospect.

Baseball Reference and Retrosheet both seem to indicate that he is not. I find that very hard to believe.

Well it won't need to be me. ESPN just said bad words about 15 times in 2 minutes during the Reds/Cards game.
