Re: Demcratic Challengers 11: Saving the Republic one voter at a time!

If Bernie (or whoever winds up with the nomination if somehow Biden or Bloomberg swoop in) wants to get more of us on board fully, start by picking someone under 50 as the VP. Whether that's Abrams or Buttigeig or someone else, he or she can't be Medicare eligible.

Not Pete. It would be bad enough it would be an Old Jew and Young Gay Man but it would be Whiter than Nodak in a blizzard.

Bernie needs flavor on the ticket not someone that makes Wonder Bread look exciting. (and I like Pete) I am not saying they have to be a minority (but they surely will be) but they definitely need to be someone that doesnt just look like a before and after picture next to all the rest of the candidates ;)

A friend of mine was there. It turned into a Free Myon Burrell rally.

That narrative is comical. She had nothing to do with it, and has even come to say if there's new evidence, then go back and re-examine.

I don't care who it is as long as they're under 50 and have an IQ over 100.

Says the guy supporting an old white millionaire.

Bernie being rich doesnt matter...he isnt a REAL Socialist ;) He is a Kepler style Socialist who preaches the good word but makes sure to get second helpings at all the cocktail parties. :p

(I honestly dont care that Bernie is rich it just makes me laugh when he rails against the rich like he is some pauper out panhandling...though with that hair it would make sense :D )

That bothers me greatly: Hey, let's give stuff away....(wait, I get to keep my stuff, right?)

I agree 100%. In fact if he wins his whole administration should be much younger and groomed to be the New Democratic Party. The Codgers need to be sent to the Home...

:D

Bernie would give his stuff away I dont doubt it. And he isnt asking anyone to give everything away he just wants taxes that make sense. Ya know, so we can pay for stuff.

That is why he isnt a real Socialist. If he was half the zealot Faux and CNN make him out to be he would be in real trouble. As it is true Socialists think he is a Conservadem :D (credit Kepler for that)

They're all white millionaires. That was the point.

We had a chance for a working class hero! Pete’s net worth is around $100K

Now we have to vote for a 120 year old millionaire or a fat orange 73 year old “billionaire”

He's not looking to tax you. He's looking to tax the company where you work.

Bernie isn't a Socialist. I know actual Socialists and they're either amused or offended that Americans believe he's a Socialist. Bernie wants to tax Wall Street. A Socialist would abolish Wall Street.

That still will affect me, though.

You’ll have better cheaper healthcare, sure.

Maybe. It won’t be cheaper for everyone though.

My healthcare out of pocket is around $4000 for the family. I did the math and I’ll pay more than that in additional taxes.

I’m assuming my employer will _not_ be giving me the $20,000+ they currently pay for my insurance once I’m on M4A...

I’m not complaining but telling everyone they’ll have “better cheaper” healthcare isn’t universally true.

I hope Bernie also bans for-profit companies from owning hospitals and other points of service

I'm covered on that currently. My company grandfathered me in under the old rules, so to speak. I have the same cost/plan as I did when I got hired 18+ years ago. However, if another major change happens, I believe that cost increase would be felt. The last change...the company grandfathered in certain employees, depending on how long they were with the company.

So your company will have to find a new way to compensate you for the $20,000 or risk losing you to a competitor. That's rough.
