Wait, we're debating? I missed the part about opposition. So where was this ridiculousness? :confused:

To the other point, no, it's not really like "stimulus." There's a long history of using that term to describe the economic impact of public policy. A quick scholar.google.com search shows about 48k results published before 2000. I think WantMore has the right comparison.

It *is* like the teabagging nonsense. I could see chuckling over that for a news cycle or two, since it was a self-inflicted moniker, but it was beaten to death (actually, well past death). And I said as much right on this board. So we're in agreement.

It never ceases to amaze how people lock into her like she's the flame and there all a bunch of moths.

If you venture outside your preconceived notions for a moment, you'll notice I was paying her a compliment. She knows her audience, and she can sell. Who says that's dumb? :)

I'm not questioning her intelligence. On the contrary. I question the intelligence of anyone who follows her. On a macro level I suppose she's fine (small government, blah, blah, blah). On a micro level she completely falls apart with hypocrisy and a complete disregard for details or consistency.

If anyone is a fan of "Gong Show" style elections, I suggest following what's going to happen here in Chicago over the next few months...

Richard M Daley won't be seeking reelection... I know he doesn't have the clout that his father had in Washington, but Richie is still leaving a heck of a void in the political world...

There isn't an heir on either side in this one, so it's gonna be a fun one... I'm sure you'll see Chicago Style Politics at their finest in this ;) :p

Ignore is there for a reason. It's not about hurting people's feelings or dissing them and it isn't transitive. There are a few pairings {x, y} on any message board that don't produce anything of value from either x or y. That doesn't mean {x, z} and {y, z} aren't interesting exchanges.

Posters aren't rank-ordered (except Ralph, who is above us all :) ).
