Re: Death to the Incumbent!! Your guide to the 2010 primaries

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Here, let me enlighten you, since I know your education is mostly flawed.

A "strawman argument" is used when one intentionally misrepresents opposing sides views, and then refutes THAT view rather than the actual view.

In this case, you start with the fallacious attitude of my never-claimed moniker of "working man's hero" and then add your own little commentary to satisfy your insatiable desire to be right all the time, even when you can't find a legitimate avenue of attack. It's pretty much your modus operandi.

Hence, a strawman argument.

I tire of your laziness. Back to the ignore pile with you.

Red Cloud does it again. He purposely shrouds himself in ambiguity so no one can argue with him. Thus he can always pull out the straw man card.

It was a beautiful set up. Let's recap.

Elections don't happen in a vacuum.
The original comment.
It would solve a lot of the problems with the electorate.
Kepler editorializes.
That must be your "working class hero" attitude.
Red Cloud accuses Kepler of a "working class hero" attitude.
I never pretended to be the WCH, that's your gig. I'm choosing my surgeon on merit, you can choose yours on the virtues of honest poverty.
Kepler responds by accusing Red Cloud of the same thing.
You never fail to revert to your strawmen in the clutch. Awesome.
Red Cloud after completing the set-up and execution flawlessly pulls out the "strawman".
I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Kepler accuses Red Cloud of not knowing what that means.

In the post below Red Cloud goes back to the "you don't know anything bit".

Bravo. *golfclap*

Whoops, I guess we can call off the special prosecutor and the impeachment inquiry...:D

Nuttin' illegal about a former Prez inquiring about what it would take to get the guy out of the race.

That's great. I read a column that predicted this line of defense almost word-for-word. The columnist said this would be the only revision strategy available for making it all nice and legal. He/she also predicted it would be released the Friday before Memorial Day to avoid scrutiny.
Nobody can say Obama's a bad politician.

"I did not break any laws in offering that man, Joe Sestak, a job on behalf of the Obama administration." I'm guessing he'd be willing to swear to it and we know the high value he places on telling the truth while under oath. Once a lying pig, always a lying pig.

My goodness is the man evil.

I've had to pull hundreds of CYA's over my career. I'm sure many of you have as well. You can always respect a well executed one. ;)

Further evidence that Obama is not your run of the mill Dem politician. If this had happened during a hypothetical Kerry administration, he'd be tendering his resignation by now. :D

No doubt about it--very Nixonian.
