Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

And of course people from other districts/states don't campaign for anyone else.

Well, the story originated from Cheyenne. So, she was campaigning for other candidates from the capital of Wyoming? Seems like a misguided strategy, but hey, you know best.:D

Yes, people can't campaign with a press release.

Because nothing-and I mean nothing- sways undecided voters in swing areas of the country than a press release from the at large Congresswoman from Wyoming!

Also, it wasn't a press release.

Other than that, it's a great story!

Please edit this post as necessary tomorrow:

The incumbent death toll in the 2010 midterms stands at ____. The dead are:

Code:
State------Party----------Name-------------------House(District)/Senate
[I]NY DEM Charles Rangel 15th[/I] <==example. delete after 1st post

No... Obama campaigns for Coons and Kucinich every other day... I wonder if they're safe wins?

Actually Coons probably is... they intend to be those "well we lost, but look how awesome we are in these standard bearer races" places... despite it not being the defining race... I mean, look how often is not spent in showing Rubio winning or Paul trouncing... Dennis on the other hand...

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

Where did I say it was a right-wing conspiracy? I said I doubted it was happening.

Aside from the the inference that matricide/patricide is OK for tax purposes, you think a doctor is going to risk their license by allowing their patient to die? Hospitals are going to risk exposure (not to mention the PR hit) by letting people die? And again, if assisted suicide is wrong, how can this possibly be justified? It. isn't. happening. But like I said, it makes for great rhetoric on the campaign trail.
You're paranoid that an extreme right-to-life argument coming out of Wyoming might sway undecided voters in other states to vote Republican? And people still question that the country is, on average, somewhat to the right of center? If we were really centered at the center, there would be no swing from this kind of "press release" (or whatever it was), because it would turn just as many people off as it would turn on.

I'm pretty conservative, but that kind of junk turns me off big time.

Remember when you go to vote people:

Vote for vowels. Aye for an I. Reject the Rs. Defeat the Ds.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

New York State voters, remember when voting, don't use their pen, use your own.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

These are economists. They study incentives for a living. And it's hardly like they're right wingers either. You don't see how a death tax could motivate people to die early?

Can we apply it selectively? Let's start with Britney Spears, Paris Hilton etc. and see how it goes...this might be a tax we can all support...well, all but a few of us.

Ha!

All this time, I've been hearing about this House candidate in VA with the racy photos and funny name. I hadn't even realized until this morning that when I moved, I moved into *that* district.

In keeping with the thread theme -- I would guess that she has roughly zero chance of causing death to our incumbent.

in fairness, if you're gonna have a scandal, it might as well be for fellating a reindeer. I mean, c'mon...

Sure it'll happen. Turning off/refusing dialysis is perfectly legal and medically ethical - the patient (in this case, grandma) has a right to refuse treatment. It's not assisted suicide.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

I voted already. Now I get to cover the darn thing in a few hours. Might be a long night for me. Time to put on a pot of coffee. I may need it.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

I voted this morning. Took me forever. For each race, I had to look at the candidates and think, "What would a Congresswoman from Wyoming want me to do here?" But hey, whatever it takes.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

About to go out to vote. It won't matter. My county is so in the tank for the Demoncrats that they could raise our taxes by 100% and the folks would love it because the schools would still be good and the services would still be wonderful.

As a side note, when (if) do California and New York declare bankruptcy and should the Federal government bail them out?
