Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

Also he and Keith have made peace meaning that whole fight in the first episode was way overblown.

I didn't take that from it at all... still seems to be a lot of awkward sitting out there and some stuff that Keith danced around and the TB captains were still agressive about at that table.

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

From what I've seen on that show, I just don't like Keith. The other guys I either really enjoy watching, or I just don't mind them. I can't say the same about him. I also like the fact the Sig, more than the rest of them, will take time to explain to the audience certain things about what they're doing out there.

I really enjoy that too. Last night I froze the screen image to look closely at the screens on his navigation electronics. I like how he described his path to enter the port.
Despite knowing that discovery over sensationalizes stuff, I was holding my breath while he took that corner into port seeing the rocks right off the starboard side

I don't care for Keith all that much, but I still like him better than the Hillstrands.

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

I wasn't overly worried about the Northwestern coming in, because we would have known by now if something bad had happened.

The Hillstrands seem to enjoy themselves more on their boat than Keith and Co. do. I know that some of this is an act and that they don't show even close to everything that goes on, but that is the impression that I seem to get. Like I said before, none of these guys are saints.

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

I took his "I'm an addict" admission as just another play to get into his father's good graces. He really knew how to manipulate Phil. It does put a new perspective on his DUI after Phil's death.

Next week's episode is probably going to be a difficult one.

Yep

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

Tonight's episode:

"Blown Off Course"

Captain Jonathan leaves the Time Bandit for warmer waters; the Cornelia Marie's skipper pays for his hard living ways.

Next week's episode is titled "Empty Throne." :(

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

I didn't see next week's title, but last night I saw tonight's synopsis.

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

So the question has to be asked...how much does this revelation contribute to his death?

I came into it late (finish a round of EA's tennis game on the Wii)... that kid is something else isn't he.

I think that die was already cast. I think he was a goner even before he reached for his meds and caught Jake. His little episode there where he stopped fishing was the beginning of the end.

There's a lot of crap happening tonight.

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

Not going to lie. Had a lump in my throat during that whole ordeal.

not being callous... but in general it doesn't affect me that much.... it just seems unfair though... i suppose it always is when you lose one of the good guys

Re: Deadliest Catch: Season 6

Not fun stuff.

I was surprised how calm Josh was under pressure, I can only imagine what he was going through. I think he has the makings of a future captain.

I think it was watching the reactions of everyone that got to me. Also on a personal level there have been some times where I have seen my own dad go through some rough stuff and perhaps that effects me as well.

Josh might be eventually, but I still contend that the brothers have to be split up.
