D3 Women?

Might be time for football and maybe mens bball in D1 to break off. Just solve this whole Supreme Court dilemma on what college athletics really means. The whole enterprise is built on lack of transparency and trust. Then maybe we can create a fair system and fund accordingly or we can filter out the nonsense.

And all the other national tournaments will wither away.

Who do you think pays for everybody? Very, very few National tournaments outside basketball make a profit. And combined, that profit isn’t nearly enough to subsidize everyone else. Except the basketball profit.

Maybe we should just cut the ties then. Make it a clean break and end it all. They’re not even trying to play fair anymore and people are sick of it. There’s no easy solution, and it’s clearly pretty unreliable. But it’s gotten worse year after year consistently.

I don’t know why you’re even complaining? Your imploring the classic cut your nose off to spite your face. It’s stupid.

Anyone know what's going on at Alvernia? This appears to be the father of current LVC forward Abby Radcliffe who transferred there after making the all-MAC team as a freshman at Alvernia in 19-20.

There were reports about him being ill-tempered an a bully at Penn State in 2016 but don't see anything about NCAA investigations.

I remember from the Before Times the NCAA had a promise/policy they would allow one of the western teams to host regardless of seeding every three years. Does anyone know if this policy is still in place, and if so where in the cycle we would be?

I believe it is still in place, but the policy is 4 years not 3. The last tournament was out west in 2019. Not sure if they count the two canceled tourneys for the four years. If so, it would mandatory in 2023 if not west this year. If not it would be 2025 if they count 2022 as year one since it was last out west.

It occurred to me that they could use the same principle to guarantee it east this year since it's been 4 calendar years since the last time an eastern school hosted.

Does anyone else have trouble getting the River Falls stream to work on their browser? I can get the Gustavus one fine...

Gustavus defeats Eau Claire 3-0 with two ENGs at the end.

River Falls with a 7-0 win over Aurora. WIAC player of the year Callie Hoff with 2 goals and 3 assists.

River Falls with host GAC on Saturday. River Falls won both games in the regular season in a home and home. 6-3 on the road and 6-5 at home.

That was the first time I've seen River Falls play this season. Watching them score three goals on three power plays each under 15 seconds was scary. Aurora was doing pretty well during the 5x5 times, but the River Falls power play just doomed them.

I only saw their games against Eau Claire as I couldn't get their stream to load last night. I agree that they are very dangerous and if they are the ones to emerge from the west over GAC they are as much of a threat as anyone to win it.

So we here in Vermont are getting a snow storm warning for all of Saturday. Like 8-10 inches, at an inch per hour and 40+mph winds for the whole day. Is there a "bad weather" option on the games for Plattsburgh and Middlebury?

Teams may have arrived today as they are supposed to have practice times tomorrow per the manual.

This was my thought as well. Plus, they keep downgrading the "storm" here in Plattsburgh. I believe the show will go on in the Lake City today.
