Gojackets, I assume you were at the rink tonight, looking forward to your insight on the game. Do you still see Gustavus as #9 and Superior as #10, as you did for your fall poll?

You'll have to wait a few hours until the booze really kicks in. Then it will be goaltending....

considering I live in AZ, I was nowhere near the rink. Also I was doing my 6 hours of torture doing the girls bball book at my school...so I didn't even see the game. Clearly I still think Gustavus is better than Superior, yes, otherwise I don't really know what your getting at.

I've said 20 times already this season, there are a clear top 6-7 teams in the country this year, after that I think its any bodies game. Now I see Superior being the spoiler and taking a game from River Falls this weekend...just because that would be logical the way the west ahs gone this year. I've never pretended to think that Superior is a top 10 team this season, despite ranking them at #10 in my poll the past couple weeks. Thats more based on...who the hell else do you put there, sorta like why Prez has Neumann as his #10.

Superior's goaltending is inconsistent which I fully expected after having the Nespor/Kunzlemann duo the past 5 years. I've also said many times that they have such inconsistent offense, that I don't see how they can fully compete until they figure that out. The majority of shots that they take, I don't feel are that great..and many times tend to leave to easy saves by the opposing goaltender.

Both teams came off, what I would assume to be, embarrsing weekends for their programs. Gustavus responded to that and clearly Superior didnt.

Gustavus has a very fast team so I don't count them out yet. They played a very good team in St. Kates so I would not discount them at all. They will be there at the end.

River Falls takes a 1-0 lead with 7:13 to go Flanegan to Black on a breakaway....Superior ties it up a few seconds later Firkus, I believe, or shrift.

Superior still up 2-1 after the 1st period. Torgerson looking much stronger in net then I remember her looking earlier in the season.
Stevens Point and CSS tied at 1, make that 2-1 pointers with a few seconds left in the first.

Adrian/Lake Forest tied at 0 after 1
Eau Claire/CUW tied at 0 late in the first
