chatham was "competitive" in the ecac the past couple seasons. they weren't going to beat the big 3, but they made them work for their wins and they won their share against everyone else.

then the administration destroyed the progress they had built in one offseason and put them back at square one. as a result, i have no pity for them when teams light them up for double digits.

maybe some day they can get back to being competitive again, but in the meantime as long as the school insists on going about things the way they do, i think teams should continue to make a statement that they either need to commit to their program and get behind it, or give up and pull the plug.

Tough enough to recruit to an all girls school whos program is in obvious turmoil and with no preceivalble light at the end of the tunnel. Wish them well though but it does appear pretty grim...

Looks as though Chatham skated 8 forwards and 5 defensemen.

I mean really... what constitutes a forfeit?

If Chatham were to play in a conference which was more in line with their abilities.. like say the NCHA... then they would be able to compete. They clearly cannot do so in the ECAC West however..I do not forecast much of a future for this program.

clearly st kate did it with little difficulty....if you would have told me 3 years ago the Katies would be takin 3 points from the Gusties I woulda laughed at ya but here we are

For everyone who skewered RIT for beating Chatham 13-1 two weeks ago, why is the Elmira game any different, but nobody has mentioned a word? RIT's fourth line combined for six goals in the 13-1 game. Charron goes for 6-2-8? Look at the RIT box score from both games. They rolled four lines, they all scored. From what I heard, they could have scored 20. The shots were 23-4 in the third. They took 15 from outside the blueline. The next day, nobody had more than a goal. Why is EC getting a free pass?

I agree...classless move by Elmira!!! Let's stack up the points...maybe just maybe she will get "player of the week" for this display...woo hoo!!! And on another point...Chatham has to go...they are and always have been, nothing more than cannon fodder for all opponents. They're used by the opposition to pad points..It's time to say goodbye to a program that clearly is not commited to getting better...do us all a favor and fold...PLEASE.

And as far as EC goes...c'mon!!! I mean REALLY!!

Enough with the holier than thou attitude. All of the top teams have had these results against Chatham. Take off the red and white colored glasses and give your hatred of Elmira a rest.

ok...now post the EC history...you just added to my argument for this team to ride off into the sunset.

(Also, RIT took a pretty good hit on this topic recently...just trying to level the playing field. EC really did a number on Chatham...embarassing actually...for both teams!)

Mason puts the Falcon's back up 2-1 less than a minute to go in the 2nd with a pretty sweet looking shot.

nobody said she was going to lead them to the stanley cup...but usually having a goaltender capable of saving more than 84% of the shots she faces is a good place to start, especially when you're giving up 50 shots a game.
