D3 scores 2014-2015

Re: D3 scores 2014-2015

Wow, great to see this. But man, if she had to go out as tragically young as she did, why couldn't the universe have at least given her that last game against Middlebury? :(

Not only that last game but the puck was on her stick in the final seconds on her backhand and she sailed it just wide. I think I've seen her score 20-25 goals in her career the exact same way but for some reason, it just wasn't meant to be that night.

From what I've been told by some Elmira women's hockey fans down here, she was just a great person on and off the ice.

On another note, I've been following the men's side of things for 25+ years, and while it wasn't the men's I thought it was just great to get a behind the scenes look at the "banquet" we've always heard about. The speeches, the awards....a quick reminder as to why we love college hockey, men and or women. A tradition I hope the men can pick up and the women continue.

She stayed on the ice with the some of the other seniors (quite the senior class that one) for a long time and she and Racine went back down to the shadowy end of the ice and re-enacted that backhand chance a number of times. That was a great moment in my DIII hockey watching career.

I remember that as well. Quite a touching moment:

Does anyone know if there is a live stats link for the games?

Being 3 hours behind means I'm still teaching for 2 more hours, but have my priorities :)

Re: D3 scores 2014-2015

The video quality is excellent. The production quality not so much. Less directing, more wide shots live, tight shots for replays, please! 😎

Re: D3 scores 2014-2015

The quality of play is favoring the Lady Cardinals through one period and they lead 2-0. But I've got to say, the announcer is a real Homer, and seems like a Dweeb as well.

End of two Plattsburgh up 4-1. Lady Cards with 1:55 left on a power play with Cross in the box for Norwich.
