Looking at the records and history, I think most would be surprised. 40 minutes left though. Can St. Thomas continue to keep the legs with a deep Plattsburgh team?

Sounds like a huge crowd in River Falls

Hopefully the score doesn't get too out of hand because the game is much closer than that score

Pleeeeease, you get handed a game with Lake Forest and now your gonna dump on the NESCAC. Just be happy Wis-Falls didn't have to go to Middlebury like they should have or you'd be sitting home looking at an all east Frozen Four.

Even if the seeding warranted it, this would never have happened. With 3 western teams, one was going to be home. Without a discussion, it was River Falls that deserved the home game.

That said, even if the committee were allowed to seed straight 1-8 and fly anyone anywhere, River Falls was still at worst the #3 seed overall and would have been home.

If you are just trying to goad gojackets into a flame war, my apologies for getting in the middle!:D

I really did just want to respond to the dissing of the NESCAC's. I'm still not a big fan on how teams were seeded. But I have to admit it's based mostly on personal opinion and maybe even a liittle east coast bias. I don't know nearly enough about the west coast teams as I probably should in forming my opinion. I do however feel as though the NESCAC is by far the most competitive conference in D3. Besides Wesleyan and Hamilton, I've seen every other team play in that league. When you play NESCAC teams, you play well coached systems and talent. You may see those two intangibles on a couple of teams at best in every other conference. I read a post the other day that said Trinity choked against Elmira. Since when does a two goal lead qualify as a choke. There is alot of bitternes and jealousy toward the NESCAC and it probably has little to do with hockey. It probably has more to do with somebody's son or daughter being denied admittance due to test scores or academics.

In no world would River Falls have gone to Middlebury in the first round. River Falls is the 3 seed in this tournament. Middlebury was the 4...and the mighty Middlebury lost...

If they did straight 1-8 it probably would have been

St Thomas @ Plattsburgh
Lake Forest @ Elmira
Trinity @ River Falls
Norwich @ Middlebury
