D3 Hockey is back!

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

5-0 Plattsburgh on the powerplay goal by Ames from Brand and Balisy. 6:57 left in the powerplay.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

6-0 Cards. Sheeran from Meneghin. 4:27 left in the second.

Where's the Utica fan who was talking so much trash?

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

I like that the Middlebury link to live video takes you to the Men's NESCAC championship game....

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

7-0 Plattsburgh on a shorty from Moriarty. 5:32 left in the third.

Now 8-0 with 1 minute and change left. Lipson with another rebound of an Erin Brand shot.

Utica Senior Morgan Reed ends her career in the box with a penalty at 3.7 seconds.

Game is over. Plattburgh wins the ECAC West title.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

I only just saw this tweet earlier from the Utica women's head coach

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This should be a piece of &#55356;&#57200;</p>— Dave Clausen (@W_David_Clausen) <a href="https://twitter.com/W_David_Clausen/status/706531626738520065">March 6, 2016</a></blockquote>

It was a piece of cake. Thanks for serving it to some very hungry Cardinals.

If this is real I've got to believe he was being sarcastic.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

An overall thank you to those of you that post on a regular basis. I enjoy reading the insights of those "in the know" and learning a bit more about the teams throughout the country. Best of luck to those players that make the dance and congrats to the rest of the teams on your season no matter the end result. We all know the commitment that these players make balancing school and athletics in order to play a game they love. Here's to an exciting post season...may the games be close, the players be safe and the refs be "fair" :).

Great post and I too enjoy learning about other teams out east that I know basically nothing about. I've learned Plattsburgh is pretty good. ;)

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

Adrian's Lupi takes a 5 minute major and gets ejected from the game. I believe the announcer said, "game disqualification." Does that mean she misses the next game too?

My understanding is that a Game Misconduct does not require a next game suspension. 2013-14 Conn Coll player w game misconduct played her next game. A Match Misconduct requires a next game suspension.

If that's not correct, then the Conn College player was an ineligible player in her next game ... she played.
