SOG = 71-7 Platty

First star of game shoulda been the Chatham tender...she was probably kicking out imaginary shots in her sleep last night!! It never changes...year in and year out.

Norwich gets back on track with a 7-0 win over Castleton and a 5-2 win over NEC.

NEC did go up 2-0 with backup Caroline Barth getting the start before Bolding pulled her for Carrier and the Cadets went on to score five unanswered.

I agree, this could have been much worse. More than 70 shots, wow. I appreciate the NSN feed, came in great in California.

Just reporting the scores. Wasn't trying to imply that they have any type of depth compared to a D III program. Game scores are reported on USCHO if you would like to check them out. Also wasn't trying to portray Chatham as being stellar, clearly their history proves otherwise. Just made a point that they are improved over their winless team from last year, which I saw them play last year several times as well.

Today's game was 10-0 (yesterday's starter for Chatham, Megan Buchanan, only played the first two periods. For the weekend, she stopped 113 of 123 shots. Teams better show up to play Chatham this year...she's going to steal a game or two this year I think. Shots today were even worse than yesterday (around 82-6 today). Like I said, though, don't sleep on the Cougars....you'll pay.

By the way, I had a nice conversation with Chatham's coach before today's game....very likable guy. Good luck to Chatham the rest of the year...

Seconds later, Tanis Lamoureux makes it 5-0 Elmira.

3-1 EC after 1 in Genny with 2 shorthanded goals. The 3rd goal Collins scored from behind the red line on a bouncing puck .
