Re: PLattsburgh win in OT

Attendance: 57. Ouch.

I can only assume this is because neither team was playing at their home rink?

For First Game Elmira @ Norwich attendance was listed as 245

Heading out shortly for Platty at NU gametime 4:00 PM

Re: D3 Game Updates 2012-13

Elmira beats Manhattanville 3-1 to give head coach Dean Jackson his first career coaching victory.

The Battle of the Gove sisters Part 3 about 10 minutes away from Kreitzberg.

No. 1 Norwich (Tyne) and No. 2 Plattsburgh (Teal) about to go to battle again. Tyne and Norwich are 2-0 so far in the series with two one-goal victories last year.

Re: D3 Game Updates 2012-13

Interesting that Norwich goes winless at home this weekend and is still the overwelming #1 team....

Re: D3 Game Updates 2012-13

I would have to agree with you. I was at the games this weekend and against Elmira, for 2 periods they looked disconnected and showed no chemistry until the 3rd, which I guess could be expected early in the season. They looked better against Platty, especially in the 2nd.....only to look not so good again in the 3rd. So I would say that of the 6 periods that they played this weekend they won 3 and lost 3, which makes sense that they would end up with 2 ties. I do not think that this early on however that they looked like a #1 team....I think they probably will be , but not right now. Maybe the return of Fisk, who I understand was injured Friday at practice will help lift them up. I thought her replacement looked fine however and it is a good thing they have depth in goal as I hear Fisk may be out for a while. Also what is up with that giant roster?....I mean I know that they have to take injuries and grades and such into the mix but I do not even think that their soccer kids from last years team have come out yet as I did not see any of their names on the roster (Casey,Bogda,Parisot ect) and they already have like 28 kids on the roster...that is almost laughable. I mean who wants to practice like that everyday and not dress for a game?? I would think as players get unhappy about not playing that it would cause friction in the locker room??? But maybe the whole "winning" thing trumps that and they are just happy to be a part of that......I do not know but as of right now I would have to agree that this is not a #1 team at this point.

I did not vote Norwich #1.
