Score holds for a Final
SNC 2 CSS 1

Great job ladies. About halfway thru the Junior season of most of the team they really kicked it in gear.

SNC moves onto the Championship round of the O'Brien Cup with a 2 -- 1 victory over CSS.
Will play the winner of the River Falls -- St. Point game tomorrow at 4:00.
Way to go Lady Knights!!

Yep. SNC continues to ride the horseshoe. last week they missed the number one goalie and today SS sat five players for drinking violations. By the way, I give SS a lot of credit for doing that.

Come on Go! Really? "that they injured a few weeks ago!" If there was any penalty to be called on the play, it would have been against the Superior player for crosschecking an SNC player into the goalie.

There was a penalty called on an SNC PLAYER I believe.


In other news. UWSP tries there "pull the goalie" stunt and it fails again. 7-0 river falls wins

My bad Go! You're right there was a penalty called on an SNC player. Still take exception to your comment "that they injured". It was a scrum in front of the net just like we have several times in every game.

I wasn't really being aerious. I highly doubt there was intent to injure!

Was I reading the River Falls/SP on-line game play by play correctly? SP pulled their goalie down 5-0 halfway thru the third? And then kept her pulled down 6-0? What is the purpose of that?

It's something that they've done for years...when down big they pull the goalie. It's never paid off for them...but they keep doing it. The logic is that this is the most important game of the season, they have to win

I could understand it down two or three but down six late in the 3rd? Knuckleheads.

I think it's more a case of sending a message to skaters that they are not getting it done, or they are hanging their goalie out to dry, or both.

But is it a message worth sending in the last game of the season? I know when Ninneman's coach did it against superior the first time several years ago...the team had just returned from an eastern trip and were getting their butts kicked by Superior...I could see the point there..mid season, must win games. But when its the final game of the season and you clearly have no chance to win, what's the point?

They might want to start holding their breat again.... Concordia scores to go up 1-0 over Gustavus, less than 3 remaining in the 1st.
