RIT 0-0 Urica after 2 periods

Unlike yesterday....this one is boring!!!

Doherty is coming up big in net for Utica.
King has seen only 8 shots thus far.

Herring was announced, but the box score corrected - Mira Trebilcock scored the 6th goal for LF with some nice stickhandling to deke goalie Danika Porter.

Herring and Katie Stack from RIT are currently tied at 22 each for goals scored in D3. Herring leads D3 in points scored at 36.

I hope Herring doesn't get lured away from Lake Forest to D1 the way the Melanie Salatino did from UWS. Its hard to think of what might have been if she had stuck around for 4 years...especially when her and Kegley teamed up ::o Granted Salty scored 61 points that year...but Herring could still do it.

would this be a delayed penalty that they scored on?? It looks like LFC must have had a power play after this though...hit after the whistle?

Situation was 6-5 with Porter on the bench. EC tried to control, but LF caused a turnover. Switaj scores EN. Faber took out her frustration at Switaj after the goal by shoving her shoulder pads from behind. I would have called it unsportsmanlike conduct vs. cross-check that was called.

Have you seen Kim play? Her game is pure scorer's touch - all in the hands and knowing where to be and where to shoot. I watched her back in her Assabet U14 days and she learned from Greg Carter to park herself at the net and she knew how to bury 'em. Some players just know.

IMHO, she doesn't have the foot speed for D1 (and I hope she doesn't leave LFC!)
